- Wednesday,
January 2, 2002- Jamie and Phoebe execute "Operation
Dance" in order to get Brooke and Edmund to share a slow dance. The mission
succeeds, and Brooke and Edmund confess their love for one another before Edmund
carries Brooke upstairs. Anna returns to David's room and finds him barely
conscious. David mistakes Anna for Dixie, and David reveals that he injected
himself with a cure for a deadly disease that could kill Dixie in the future. As
a result, Anna realizes that David is not Proteus.
- Thursday, January 3, 2002-
Edmund surprises Brooke with his nonchalant
attitude the morning after the Crystal Ball, and Brooke forces Edmund to confess
that Bianca phoned regarding an alleged intruder and that a reporter from tempo
called to inform him of Vanessa's pending testimony against Erica at her murder
trial.
- Friday, January 4, 2002-
Anna admits to David that he spilled his entire
secret to Anna while under the influence, but David remains unable to trust Anna
when he finds his syringe in her purse.
- Monday,
January 7, 2002- David shares his grand aspirations with Anna.
David asks Anna to take part in his drug venture, but Vanessa tries to squelch
the partnership by offering to help David fulfill his goals in return for
dropping Anna, whom she feels to be a threat.
- Tuesday, January 8, 2002-
Ryan shares information given to him about his
father by Chris with Anna, and Anna inquires if Ryan would like to learn more
about his father's death. Anna tries to tempt Ryan by suggesting that Chris
might be at the root of the Pine Valley drug ring, but Ryan still declines
Anna's offer.
- Thursday, January 10, 2002-
Brooke stops Edmund from proposing under the
pressure of the romantic setting created by Phoebe, Maddie, Sam and Jamie.
Brooke gently chastises Phoebe, and Brooke explains to Edmund that their
decision to marry should occur in a less contrived fashion. Laura makes an
appearance and shocks Brooke with the declaration that Brooke favors Edmund's
family over Laura.
- Friday, January 11, 2002-
At
Wildwind, Edmund comforts Brooke when Laura appears to have disappeared, but
Laura returns, and Edmund witnesses Laura manipulating Brooke. Brooke overhears
Edmund give Laura the third degree, and Laura claims to Brooke that Edmund wants
Brooke to turn against her.
- Tuesday, January 15, 2002-
Leo allows David to help him when he buckles over
in pain, and Leo reveals to David that Vanessa's chauffeur beat him up. David
diagnoses Leo with a torn stomach muscle and tells him to stay clear of sexual
adventure for the remainder of the week, and Jake informs Greenlee that a
professional must have mugged Leo due to the lack of bruising. Jake
observes as Anna and David argue over ongoing trust issues, and Chris grabs Anna
in the parking lot when she storms off.
- Wednesday, January 16, 2002-
Anna agrees to help Chris
learn more about Vanessa in return for helping her fill the Chief of Police
position in Pine Valley. Vanessa eavesdrops as Anna admits to David that she
intends to investigate his mother, and David warns Vanessa that he will commit
her if she doesn't lose the chauffeur. However, Vanessa simply matches David's
promises with her own threats.
- Tuesday, January 22, 2002- Vanessa prevents Anna
from breaking into her room and finding Vanessa with Larry's body, and Vanessa
puts on a show for David and Anna to cover for Larry's murder. Anna suggests to
David that Vanessa has a hidden agenda, while Palmer appears ready to discover
Larry's body.
- Wednesday, January 23, 2002- Leo and Greenlee visit David with Anna upon
David's request to discuss Vanessa, and tearful Vanessa interrupts the unlikely
party to announce her latest plight and to ask for her sons' help. Anna shares
her suspicion that Vanessa tricked Palmer into leaving Vanessa, while David and
Leo reluctantly agree to help their mother one last time. Vanessa convinces
David and Leo to transport her trunk, stuffed with Larry's dead body, and
Vanessa warns Leo to handle her heavy memories with care when he accidentally
drops his end.
- Friday, January
25, 2002- David finds Jake behind David's desk, and Jake
blasts David for not handling his job properly. Later, Joe pays David a visit
and asks for the return of David's budget overage, and David meets with Anna and
points out that she embodies the only evidence against David. Anna assures David
of her continued loyalty, but David informs Anna that he in fact cannot trust
her.
- Tuesday, January 29, 2002-
David moves forward with plans to fund his research,
and Jake finds something suspicious when sifting through David's office. Anna
catches Jake snooping, and Anna overhears when Tad calls Jake from the Caribbean
with news of Dixie's fragile health. Anna chooses not to tell David about
Dixie's condition, opting for passion instead, but a call from Dixie's doctor
ruins the mood with the bad medical news.
- Wednesday, January 30, 2002-
David attacks Anna for not telling him about
Dixie, and Anna attempts to make it up to David by pulling favors to get them on
a plane via her WSB contacts to fly to the Caribbean in order for David to treat
Dixie with his discovery.
- Wednesday, January 31, 2002- Anna and David find Dixie and Tad. Dixie believes Anna and
David's good intentions, and Dixie convinces reluctant Tad to let David inject
her with his miracle drug. Dixie's condition appears to worsen, causing renewed
animosity between Tad and David, but Dixie ultimately responds to the medicine
and steals the show. Vanessa defends duty-ditching
David from Joe and Jake, but Joe ultimately gets David fired.
