- Monday, January 2, 2003-
As David finishes his shift at the clinic, Reggie, a young man from the
neighborhood, comes in suffering from an obvious stab wound. David treats the
wound and would call the police but Janelle stops him. Janelle vehemently tells
David not to talk to the authorities as they can't afford to lose the trust of
the people in the neighborhood. Janelle accuses David of having called the
police when Anna arrives unexpectedly. Reggie overhears Janelle's accusation and
grabs Anna, holding a pair of scissors to her throat.
- Friday,
Jan 3, 2003-
The situation at the clinic grows more threatening for Anna when two
uniformed police officers enter. Anna and Janelle convince Reggie to release
Anna, who promises to speak to the judge on Reggie's behalf. Reggie is
threatened by Luis, another young man from the neighborhood. Janelle warns Luis
that there will not be another gang war. Luis has a threat of his own for
Janelle, which David and Anna overhear. Edmund discovers Maria in the hayloft
but she covers her real reason for being there. Meanwhile, Aidan sneaks into
Wildwind and begins to send a message on Edmund's laptop. Aidan narrowly escapes
being discovered by Maddie. Later, Maria sees that Aidan has typed the message
"come and get me" on Edmund's laptop. Aidan reveals himself to Maria
as Edmund returns.
- Monday,
Jan 6, 2003- Edmund sees the
message that reads "come and get me" on his computer screen and
mistakenly jumps to the conclusion that Maria was sending the message to Aidan.
Maria wrongly believes that Edmund never saw Aidan's message and demands that
Aidan tell her who he was trying to contact. Aidan explains he was trying to
throw Fiona's killer off his track to protect Maria and says he is going to
leave Pine Valley. Maria refuses to let Aidan simply walk out of her life.
Meanwhile, Edmund voices his frustration over Maria to Brooke, who shows him
little sympathy. David insists that Anna stop pushing herself at work.
Anna becomes alarmed when she realizes she hasn't felt her baby kick all day.
- Tuesday,
Jan 7, 2003- Edmund tries to
apologize to Jamie for hurting Brooke. Jamie becomes angry and warns Edmund to
stay away from Brooke. Brooke confronts Maria and informs her that Edmund saw
the "come and get me" message on his computer. Maria allows Brooke to
continue to think that she sent the message to Aidan. Brooke strongly urges
Maria to consider her actions and asks her not to hurt Edmund. Maria takes Aidan
to Hayley and Mateo's now empty condo. Maria returns to Wildwind and encounters
Edmund, who is shocked to realize that Maria already knew Aidan is wanted for
murder. Maria tries to defend her actions regarding Aidan but her explanation
falls on Edmund's deaf ears. Thinking he is protecting Maria, Edmund locks her
in her room at Wildwind. Dr. Clader tells David and Anna that Anna's baby might
have a heart valve defect and raises the possibility of surgery on her unborn
child. David insists that Anna be treated a world-renowned facility in
Switzerland and makes arrangements for Robin to accompany Anna to Europe as he
is prohibited from leaving the country while on probation.
- Wednesday,
Jan 8, 2003- Edmund refuses to release Maria from her bedroom and
insists his actions are for Sam and Maddie's protection. Maria is furious over
what Edmund has done and tells him that he is angry over the fact that she might
have feelings for someone other than him. Desperate to get to Aidan, Maria
fashions a makeshift rope and begins to climb out the window. Edmund catches
Maria attempting to escape. Meanwhile, Kendall arrives at Mateo's condo looking
to rent the space from Isabella. Kendall is shocked to find Aidan there and
realizes Maria has been hiding him. Kendall prevents Isabella from discovering
Aidan.
- Thursday,
Jan 9, 2003- Edmund stops Maria from fleeing out the window. Edmund
and Maria have a heated argument and Edmund feels betrayed when he realizes how
drastically Maria has changed. Maria insists she wasn't planning on running away
with Aidan but Edmund won't believe a word she says. Edmund orders Maria to
leave Wildwind. Meanwhile, Kendall shocks Aidan with her plan to move into the
condo that night. Maria arrives at the condo and is shocked to find Kendall with
Aidan. Maria and Kendall refuse to allow Aidan to leave.
- Friday,
Jan 10, 2003- Maria and Kendall are shocked when they realize that
Aidan has run off on them. Following their instincts, Maria and Kendall head to
the bus station to look for Aidan. Meanwhile, Aidan is at the bus station where
he sees a police officer hang a wanted poster with his picture on it. While
Maria changes a flat tire, Kendall lets her know that she had slept with Aidan.
Privately, Maria is jealous to hear of Aidan and Kendall's intimacy. Maria and
Kendall arrive at the bus station as Aidan is about to board a bus for Seattle.
David and Janelle disagree on how to handle the threat of gang violence at the
clinic. Greenlee goes to the clinic to see David. Trey stops by and tells
Greenlee and David that he was reinstated by the bar association. Greenlee is
hit by a fresh wave of grief and blames Trey for Leo's death. Janelle overhears
Greenlee and later tells David that Greenlee needs help. After Janelle informs
David that Reggie (formerly listed as Wayne) is still in jail because he can't
pay his bail, David suggests that Trey represent Reggie for free.
- Monday,
Jan 13, 2003- At the bus station, Kendall pulls Aidan into a kiss
to prevent him from being discovered by Derek. Maria tries to throw Derek off
Aidan's trail. Aidan sees Archie, the man who shot him. Aidan agrees to return
to Kendall's condo with Maria and Kendall. Archie is looking for Maria. Trey
tells David that he realizes he made a horrible mistake by kissing Greenlee.
Trey denies that he is falling in love with Greenlee. Trey agrees to look into
Reggie's case as a favor to David. Jack informs Trey and Janelle that due to an
error in the paperwork, Reggie was sent to prison instead of a juvenile
facility. David tries to comfort Greenlee, who nearly hits bottom. Later,
Greenlee calls Lysistrata for help.
- Tuesday,
Jan 14, 2003- Trey and Janelle bring Reggie to the clinic after
getting him released from prison. Reggie rejects David and Janelle's offers of
help and leaves the clinic. Trey follows Reggie and drags him back to the clinic
to be checked out by David. Reggie remains hostile towards everyone.
- Wednesday,
Jan 15, 2003- Aidan insists that Kendall and Maria can't leave the
condo for their own protection. Maria explains to Aidan why she can't return to
Wildwind. Aidan feels responsible for Maria's problems with Edmund. Kendall is
jealous of Aidan and Maria's closeness. Brooke encourages Edmund not to give up
on Maria. Brooke claims Edmund will only be happy with Maria and not with
someone else. David tells Edmund he may have made a breakthrough in his
research.
- Thursday,
Jan 16, 2003- Kendall prevents Isabella from seeing Aidan and Maria
when she drops by with Kendall's lease. Aidan tells Maria and Kendall that he is
leaving but believes they will be safe from Archie, who is seen lurking outside.
David tells Edmund he's developed a drug that he thinks will help to restore
Maria's memory but explains the drug hasn't been perfected yet. When David
leaves the room, Edmund steals a vial of the untested drug. Later, Edmund
arrives at Kendall's condo and finds Maria with Aidan. Janelle insists to Reggie
that he must be placed in a group home. Trey surprises Reggie and Janelle when
he says he has the court's permission for Reggie to move in with him. Reggie is
reluctant at first but later agrees to live with Trey.
- Friday,
Jan 17, 2003- Edmund is hurt and furious when he realizes Maria had
been hiding Aidan at Wildwind since before Christmas. Edmund can't believe that
Maria risked her life for Aidan and that she so readily accepts his innocence.
Aidan tells Maria to return to Wildwind with Edmund for her own safety. Aidan
and Maria share a touching goodbye. After Kendall leaves the condo, Archie
knocks Aidan unconscious.
- Monday,
Jan 20, 2003- Aidan is abducted and restrained by Morgan, his
former lover and partner in crime. Morgan threatens Aidan and informs him that
Julian is on his way to Pine Valley to kill Aidan for sleeping with his late
wife, Fiona. Aidan accuses Morgan of wanting him dead as revenge for ending
their relationship. Edmund secretly slips Maria the experimental drug he stole
from David. David is furious at Edmund for stealing the drug and becomes very
concerned when he realizes Edmund gave the drug to Maria. Edmund comforts Maria
after she has a nightmare. Edmund is confident Maria's memory is returning.
David and Edmund are later shocked to find Maria missing from her bed.
- Tuesday,
Jan 21, 2003- Morgan continues to hold Aidan hostage. Aidan fears
that Julian might try to harm Maria. Edmund and David are relieved when Maria
returns to Wildwind. Maria explains to Edmund that she had gone to Pine Valley
University, where she glanced through a chemistry book that seemed familiar to
her. Edmund is certain that David's experimental drug is causing Maria's memory
to return. Maggie and Henry's friendship grows as they study together in
Maggie's dorm room. Anna calls David with the news that her baby will need to
undergo in-utero surgery. Kendall is determined to represent Fusion at a
cosmetics conference in Aspen. Kendall convinces Palmer to pay for her trip to
Aspen with the condition she take Petey with her. Kendall sees Lena and Boyd
having drinks together.
- Tuesay,
Jan 28, 2003- David demands that Edmund meet with him. David warns
Edmund that Maria could die from the experimental drug. David wants to examine
Maria and is alarmed when Edmund admits to giving Maria another dose of the
drug. Isabella is overwhelmed when Maria unconsciously calls her "mama."
Maria begins to grow feverish. Edmund's firm belief that the drug isn't harming
Maria begins to fade when Isabella tells him that Maria isn't feeling well. Morgan infuriates Aidan with her plan to go after Maria. Morgan, who realizes
Aidan has been leading her on, prevents Aidan from escaping and heads to
Wildwind to set her plan in motion. Aidan is desperate to protect Maria. Morgan
manages to con her way past the guard and encounters Maria alone.
- Wednesday,
Jan 29, 2003- Morgan uses the guise of being a detective from
London to question Maria about Aidan. Alone, Morgan finds the safe exactly as
Aidan described it. Edmund arrives and asks Morgan to leave. Meanwhile, Aidan
manages to break free of his restraints. Aidan tries to overpower Morgan when
she returns but she pulls her gun on him and ties him back up. Edmund is genuinely concerned for Maria's health but she accuses him of getting
rid of Morgan because she was asking questions about Aidan. Maria collapses in
Edmund's arms. Edmund calls David to help Maria. Morgan informs Aidan that they
are going to break into Wildwind that night and threatens his and Maria's lives.
- Thursday,
Jan 30, 2003- David arrives at Wildwind to examine Maria, who
drifts in and out of consciousness. After David leaves, a guilty Edmund
confesses to Maria that he is responsible for her illness.
- Friday,
Jan 31, 2003- Isabella insists that Edmund call a doctor to examine
Maria. Not being able to let Isabella know that David has already done so,
Edmund is forced to call Jake. Edmund later warns David that Jake took a sample
of Maria's blood for tests to find out what is causing her illness. Edmund
confesses to Maria that he gave her two doses of David's experimental drug.
Alone, Maria hastily throws her things together and vows to leave Wildwind
forever. Aidan and Morgan break into Wildwind. After a series of
close calls, Aidan cracks the safe and swiftly pulls a gun on Morgan, who
simultaneously pulls her gun on him.
