- Monday, January 3, 2000-
Erica, Rae and Edmund watched as David fell down the stairs after an encounter
with Alex. Erica accused Alex of pushing David down the stairs, but David
regained consciousness and said that he had tripped and fell. Erica was furious
over David's defense of Alex, but David told Erica that he wanted to find out
what was really going on with Alex. Later, Alex broke down in Edmund's arms and
feared she was losing her mind after admitting that she had pushed David down
the stairs. Ryan was miserable after Gillian caught him and Greenlee about to
make love in the mausoleum. Gillian returned to the ball and told Jake she had
reached a decision about his proposal. Later, Barry gave Jake the letter.
- Tuesday, January 4, 2000-
Edmund took Alex upstairs away from the crowd and tried to talk to her about
what happened with David. A scared and upset Alex finally admitted she pushed
David down the stairs. Edmund asked her why and Alexandra told him she was
confused. Alex told Edmund she wanted to return to the hunting lodge but ended
up going to Dimitri's crypt. David and Erica left for the hospital. While on
route their limousine was delayed in traffic. Erica was furious that David lied
and protected Alexandra. David explained he wasn't protecting Alex he was going
to use this episode against her when the time was right. David told Erica he was
disappointed that she didn't trust him when Erica brought up Alex's accusation
that David came on to her in London. David told Erica he was falling more in
love with her and needed her trust and support. Gillian accepted Jake's marriage
proposal. Marian interrupted their happy moment and took Gillian aside to
explain about Barry's letter. Gillian vowed to Marian that she would get the
letter from Jake before he had the chance to read it. Later, Gillian purposely
spilled food on Jake's coat. Gillian insisted on taking the coat to be cleaned
by the maid and removed the letter and gave it to Marian.
- Thursday, January 6, 2000-
Erica again entreats David to take action before Dimitri's murderous black widow
strikes again. David relates for Erica how unhinged Alex became when he
approached her during the Crystal Ball. As they meet again at Wildwind, Alex
demands that David explain why he's been covering for her. As David tries to
explain Alex suddenly sees the mystery man, Geoffrey, in front of her eyes
instead of David.
- Tuesday, January 18, 2000-
Gillian and Jake spend a blissful night in bed together. In the morning, they
turn their attention to planning a June wedding and Jake agrees to drop the idea
of filing a custody suit against Liza. Ruth cautions her exasperated son not to
rush into marriage. Later, Ruth admits to Joe she doesn't think Gillian has
completely gotten over her feelings for Ryan. Adam pays a call on Gillian and
again attempts to con her into spilling the beans to her fiance about Colby's
true paternity. Gillian calls Eugenia and asks her to come over right away. When
Eugenia arrives Gillian is about to tell her Jake isn't Colby's father when Jake
arrives and interrupts.
- Friday, January 21, 2000-
Alex asks Rae to consult on a case involving a small girl who seems too
traumatized to utter a word. Sensing a change in the chemistry between Alex and
her brother-in-law, Rae quizzes Edmund about his feelings for Dimitri's widow.
Meanwhile, Alex has another hallucination about Jeffrey as she watches David
lean over little Karen.
- Monday, January 24, 2000-
As David eavesdrops, an agitated Alex confides to Edmund how frightened she was
to see "Geoffrey" leaning over her young patient. Later, Edmund tries
to reassure Alex after she admits how constantly confused and scared she's been
in recent months.
- Wednesday, January 26, 2000-
Gillian confides Colby's secret to an astonished Eugenia, who advises her to
clam up and say nothing to Jake about the child's true paternity.
- Friday, January 28, 2000-
Across town, Liza teeters on the verge of hysteria after Jake vows to take Colby
from her and raise the child himself. Out of Jake's earshot, Liza frantically
begs Gillian to help her by postponing her nuptials. Becca helps Ryan realize
that he still has strong feelings for Gillian. Ryan decides to go talk to
Gillian. Later, Gillian tells Ryan that she and Jake are getting married and will fight
Liza for custody of Colby.
- Monday, January 31, 2000-
Flustered to learn that Gillian plans to wed Jake the very next day, Ryan
reminds his ex how their own marriage in haste led to their inevitable downfall.
Ryan tells a startled Gillian she was the only woman he's ever loved, then begs
her to give their marriage another chance. Jake arrives and Ryan leaves. Gillian
is torn by conflicting emotions when Jake asks if she's having second thoughts
about their quickie wedding.
- Tuesday, February 1, 2000-
Dixie pays a call on Gillian and gives her future sister-in-law some advice on
how to handle a Martin man. Eugenia is touched by Dixie's visit. Later, Jake
returns and tells Gillian about his latest visit with his lawyer. Ryan overhears
Opal and Eugenia talking about Gillian and Jake's' upcoming wedding. A dejected
Ryan explains to Becca how his bid to win back Gillian's heart came too late in
the game.
- Wednesday, February 2, 2000-
Edmund tried to encourage Alex to rediscover her past. Edmund tells Alex he
found out that all her medical records have been sealed by the British
government. Later, Alex asks Rae to hypnotize her so she can recall what
happened during the months which are nothing but a blank. Alex lied to Rae and
told her that she didn't remember anything when Rae hypnotized her.
- Friday, February 4, 2000-
At Wildwind, Alex is delighted when Gillian asks her to play a crucial role
in her upcoming wedding. Alex becomes teary and upset while discussing Karen's case with Gillian. Ryan
appeals to Hayley and Mateo to help him put a halt to Gillian's nuptials before
she makes the biggest mistake of her life. Ryan swears to Hayley he's dead
certain that Gillian still loves him and is only marrying Jake out of a sense of
obligation. Against her better judgment Hayley calls Gillian to ask her to meet
Hayley at the boathouse. Gillian is surprised when Ryan shows up instead of
Hayley. Erica explains to David her theory that Alex was responsible for the
murder of a British diplomat years ago. During a heated discussion that follows
- Erica blurts out that she loves David. Erica goes to Wildwind to try and talk
to Edmund about Alex. Without hearing Erica out Edmund heads to Pine Valley
Hospital to make sure Alex is okay. Agitated by another set-to with David, Alex
again slips and calls him "Geoffrey". Upset and shaken - Alex runs
away from David and ends up in the stairwell. David follows her and taunts Alex.
Edmund arrives and pulls David away from Alex. David and Edmund are shocked to
hear Alex scream when she envisions a dead "Geoffrey" laying at the
bottom or the stairs.
- Friday, February 11, 2000-
Much to everyone's astonishment, including her own, Alex disarms a gunman at the
mall. Stunned at her new found martial arts abilities, Alex informs an equally
shocked Edmund she doesn't know how she did what she did.
- Monday, February 14, 2000-
Watching and listening from the safe room on Adam's suggestion, Ryan is
astounded to learn the truth about Colby's paternity. Later after talking to
Adam, Ryan sneaks into Gillian's room and entreats her to stop lying to Jake
before any more damage is done.Edmund suggests to an unnerved Alex that she must
have had many hours of martial arts training somewhere in her hazy past. Alex
advises Edmund to keep his distance from her for his own good.
- Tuesday, February 15, 2000-
Alex explains to Edmund how she could never forgive herself if something from
her past should hurt him as well. Eugenia arrives and begs Edmund to come back
to the main house because Ryan is with Gillian. Meanwhile, Ryan pleads with
Gillian to believe that his love is the one she deserves. Ryan urges Gillian to
stop living a lie, but she recalls Greenlee's words of warning and orders her
uninvited guest to go. Eugenia returns with Edmund and Ryan reluctantly leaves
after telling Gillian she is making the biggest mistake of her life if she
marries Jake. Later, Ryan and Gillian only have thoughts of each other.
- Wednesday, February 16, 2000-
Adam hints to a puzzled Liza that Jake's ploy to obtain sole custody of Colby
may soon encounter a huge obstacle. Liza and a shocked Adam reluctantly deliver
Colby to Jake and Dixie. Jake reminds Liza why he won't back down on his custody
suit. Adam again urges Ryan to fight for the woman he loves and stop Jake's
wedding. Awakening at the crack of dawn on her wedding day, Gillian wonders if
fate has turned against her when she accidentally breaks a locket her late
mother cherished. Eugenia and Alexandra tell Gillian they trust in whatever
decision she makes. Later, Greenlee slyly reinforces Gillian's suspicions about
Ryan. As Gillian and Jake's wedding starts Ryan storms into the Martin living
room.
- Thursday, February 17, 2000-
Meanwhile, a hurt Ryan looked on as Gillian made her vows to Jake and they
were pronounced husband and wife. Greenlee watched and was thrilled the marriage
had continued.Tad became determined to get to the bottom of why Ryan mentioned
Adam’s name to him. Later, everyone toasted the happy couple. Jake and Gillian
started their new life together as Dr. and Mrs. Jake Martin Scott, Becca
and Greenlee did their best to cheer Ryan up and get his mind off Gillian's
marriage to Jake. When Greenlee asked Ryan to dance Ryan fantasized it was
Gillian.
- Friday, February 18, 2000-
Erica asked David why he had not yet come clean with Joe about Alex’s past.
Meanwhile, Alex leaned on Edmund as she confessed to Joe that she once killed a
man. Joe refused to let Alex step down from the hospital. Edmund and Alex shared
a nightcap at The Pine Valley Inn. Later, Alex had a harsh reaction to David’s
insults against her.
- Monday, March 6, 2000-
While on the stand, Gillian managed not to spill the truth about Colby’s
paternity but fumbled her explanations about what she felt was best for Colby.
Liza admitted on the stand that she would be willing to leave Adam if that was
what it took to keep Colby. Liza and Gillian had words before they returned to
the courtroom for the Judge's decision.
- Tuesday, March 7, 2000-
Jake’s world continued to come crashing down around him as he realized that
Gillian also knew the truth.
- Wednesday, March 8, 2000-
Jake walked out on a devastated Gillian after she confessed the whole truth
about her deceptions. Liza looked on as Dixie told Adam he was ruining his
children's lives and that they all were afraid of him. Joe and Adam had words
while Tad and Dixie watched. Greenlee tried to explain to Ryan what is was like
being her and the pressures her family put on her. Later, Ryan discovered a
distraught Gillian alone in the park.
- Thursday, March 9, 2000-
Gillian ran into Ryan’s arms and poured out her feelings over hurting Jake.
Edmund and Alex returned from England and Tad broke the news to them about what
had happened at Colby's custody trial. Alone, Edmund recalled the moment when he
had to take Sam away from Maria.
- Friday, March 10, 2000-
Edmund was touched when Alex presented him with a special gift- a horse. Edmund
introduced Alex to the new stable hand, Guy Donahue. Guy asked Alex what she
wanted to name the horse and she named it Scorpio. Later, Guy wrote and e-mail
stating that contact with Alex had been established. Gillian was consoled by
Ruth and Joe after Adam lashed out at her.
- Monday, March 20, 2000-
Gillian was heartbroken when Dixie informed her that Jake had left town for a
while. Gillian told Dixie she was hoping Jake would return quickly. Dixie told
Gillian that Jake need time and to be patient. Later, A conniving Greenlee
continued to plant doubts about Ryan to Gillian. Greenlee asked her grandfather
for help in funding Ryan's new business venture and made sure she would never be
linked to him. Edmund was stunned when Alex started speaking Russian when a
friend of Eugenia’s was struck ill. Alex was later shocked when Edmund
questioned where she learned Russian and claimed that she did not speak the
language.
- Tuesday, March 21, 2000-
At Wildwind, Guy eavesdropped while Alex explained to Edmund how she didn't know
how she could have spoken fluent Russian when she didn't know the language.
Edmund wanted to call Jack to get her medical files released, but Alex stopped
him and expressed how she just wanted to get on with her life. Edmund asked
Adrian for help in unearthing the secrets from Alex’s past. Adrian shared with
Edmund his belief that Alex may have been brainwashed. Later, Guy approached
Alex and whispered in her ear how she "wanted to get on with her
life."
- Wednesday, March 22, 2000-
Alex reacted harshly when Guy said the phrase "You just want to get on with
your life." Guy was able to calm Alex down when he told her that he knew
she was under a lot of stress. Meanwhile Adrian and Edmund continued to discuss
Alexandra. Later, Alex was shocked when Edmund admitted that Adrian believed she
was brainwashed. Alex finally gave Jack permission to figure out why her medical
records were sealed. Back in his room, Guy typed on his laptop and requested
permission to terminate Alex.
- Friday, March 24, 2000-
Ryan arrived at Myrtle's to find Gillian packing to return to Wildwind. Gillian
told Ryan to stay our of her life. Later, Gillian realized she was wrong to
doubt Ryan’s sincerity after she received a letter from Jake detailing
Ryan’s pleas on her behalf.
- Monday, March 27, 2000-
After talking to Myrtle Gillian decided to pay Ryan a visit, but walked away
after catching Greenlee and Ryan in a friendly moment. Greenlee and Ryan came up
with an idea for his Internet company.
