Another Ruined Dinner
Afterwards, both go to Wyndam's
separately. Robert buys a heart-shaped key ring and runs into Mac, who smugly
tells his big bro he hoped he didn't cause any problems by showing up for dinner
last night. After telling Mac to leave Anna out of their squabble, Robert
discovers Anna looking at lingerie. "Oh, you gave me the key to your
heart," Anna coos when he present her with his gift. Smiling, Robert
answered, "Not quite. It's the key to my apartment." They decide
the first to arrive at Robert's place turns the music on.
The first to arrive, Robert turns
grabs some brandy and gets into the elevator, which earlier was rigged. Sparks
occur and soon Robert's overcome with smoke. Frisco and Anna bump into one
another on the docks and he teases her about her sexy garb. She then runs into
Mac, who suggests she ditch Robert and go out with him. Rebuffing
him, she later finds an unconscious Robert in the elevator. While Angel calls
the paramedics, Anna revives her ex. Frisco arrives and starts investigating
while Anna takes Robert upstairs. When he insists he can handle it alone, a fed
up Anna calls Sean for help. The duo gang force Robert to admit he needs help
but he balks when they insist Frisco be his body guard. Anna shows the gang the
maritime button she found right before pulling Robert out of the elevator. It's
agreed that Sean and Anna will question the freighter's crew while Robert and
Frisco concentrate on Mac. When Robert remarks that Frisco will be walking the
beat for some time to come, Jones gets revenge by breaking up Robert and Anna's
smooching session in Robert's bedroom.
Frisco drives Robert crazy by
stalking his every move. The commish is relieved when Anna arrives with lunch so
that Frisco can go home for a bit. The duo reminisce about their romance in
France and decide to go away for the weekend. "You're so much better
looking than my current bodyguard," Robert teases when Anna says she'll be
his bodyguard for the weekend. Frisco returns as Anna skips off to pack and
tells Robert he needs to attend a quick tenants meeting. Thrilled, Robert lets
him go saying his police office is the safest place he can be. However, shortly
after an bomb is thrown into Robert's office, knocking Robert unconscious. Anna
arrives as Robert's being carted off the GH.
 My Brother's Keeper
Anna keeps up her bedside vigil next to an unconscious Robert. Mac's upset after the hospital refuses to give him any information
about Robert's condition, saying Robert's records say he has no brother. He's caught
by Anna sneaking into Robert's room, who has him arrested thinking he's there for a second
attempt on his brother's life. After his bail's denied, Anna visits Mac in jail and
promises that if Robert dies that she'll kill him in return. Frisco tries to
compensate his guilt over Robert by proving that Mac's the culprit. Scott appeals to Sean
for help proving Mac's innocence, which Sean accepts as he's always suspected someone else
was behind the murder attempts.
On his request, Sean brings Robert's
puzzle box to the hospital and as he's explaining the significance of the box
Robert becomes more agitated and goes into cardiac arrest. Sean restrains an
upset Anna as Robert's wheeled off to surgery. Robin meanwhile sneaks off to the
police station, almost getting caught by Frisco, and blasts Mac for hurting her
father. Mac pleads innocent and begs her to tell Robert that he didn't do it.
Frisco finds Robin back at GH and she confesses she went to the station to
confront Mac. They join Anna to await news on Robert, who survives surgery.
Robert revives from his unconscious state much to Anna's relief. He then proceeds to drive
everyone nuts with his antics trying to escape the hospital and resume police duties. Anna
regrets letting Guy sneak in a cellular phone to Robert, and both almost get caught by
Robert's grumpy nurse when Anna attempts to take it away from him. She also tells Robert
she plans to testify at Mac's hearing where Mac's case is held over for trial despite the
fact it's based on circumstantial evidence. Robert, Anna, and Frisco are relived, while
Jenny's more determined than ever to support Mac. Sean and Felicia's investigation for
Mac's case places the duo on Frisco and Robert's enemy list, though Anna's more
reasonable.
Mutual Parting of Ways
After Robert attempts an escape dragging his IV with him, Monica, Anna, and Steve
decide it's time to release him. The nurses are irritated with him, most refuse to wait on
him, and he's constantly having the telephone taken away because he refuses to relax.
Since Anna had basic medical training (back in '85 when she worked the GH medical van with
Buzz Stryker when Robin was missing in the Asian Quarter) and none of the other nurses
will work with him, Steve and Monica agree to let her nurse Robert at home. Plus, she'll
serve as his bodyguard. Anna brings a grumpy Robert home to his penthouse, and he's less
than pleased to learn she's his nurse. Nearly exhausting herself to collapse, Anna
attempts to pamper Robert to death. The duo constantly bicker over things like Robert
lying about taking his pills, her terrible cooking, and her constant monitoring of him. In
fact, she had the door and elevator keyed and alarmed so no one, including Robert, can
enter or leave the penthouse. Frisco informs them that the man who bought the explosives
that blew up Robert's office is dead.
Anna tries to cover but Robert
forces her to admit that she's been getting threatening phone calls warning her
not to testify against Mac. Tiffany and Sean arrive and she forces Robert to
make up with Sean. Robert sneaks out as Sean and Tiffany chat with Anna
and goes to the jail to confront Mac. Mac's alarmed when Robert starts having
problems breathing while Anna and gang freak out after finding Robert gone.
Robert's brought home and chastized by a furious Anna. Robert tries to soothe
her by claiming he did what he did to protect her. They kissed but she pulls
away when he wants to get intimate.
Mac's held over to stand trail for
Robert's bombing. Jenny comes to Mac's aid and becomes his strongest supporter,
causing her to butt heads with Frisco, Robert and Anna. At Robert's insistance,
Anna leaves him in Sean's care and goes to the beauty parlor. There, an undercover
Sam, sent to protect Anna, mistakenly holds up a man trying to deliver lunch to
Anna. Robert doesn't apologize for his overprotectiveness. On Anna's next trip
out, this time with Frisco, she's held hostage by a bank robber. She and Frisco
are able to overtake the guy, but Robert nearly has a coronory when he hears
about the hostage situation on the radio. Felicia doesn't take the news well
either and resents Frisco being gone so much.
 A Quake, a Quake, the Earth Began to
Shake
Dressed in Robert's
clothes, Anna quietly leaves a note for a sleeping Robert and sneaks off to the
Asian Quarter to visit Robin. The note falls to the floor where Friday gets a
hold of it. Robert panics after finding Anna missing and puts out an APB on her.
Hearing someone entering his bedroom,
Robert knocks out the individual from behind. Anna slumps to the floor and
horrified Robert tries to revive her. She demands to know why he knocked her
out. They argue then give in to their passion.
Anna and Robert's lovemaking is interrupted by an earthquake (the poor duo actually
thought it was their sex that was earth shattering at first), and cling to one another
waiting for the aftershocks to stop. They then make their way over to the Asian
Quarter to check on Robin, who's staying with Olin. There, Robert takes Robin and
Anna in his arms, and kisses them both. Across town, Mac's jail door is shook lose,
and he uses the choas to steal back his belongings, a uniform, and escapes
unnoticed.
At the brownstone, Frisco hears his wife's screams and enters the
demolished entrance to find Felicia unconscious and Maxie crying nearby. Bobbie
arrives and the two use a fallen door to strap Felicia down so she can be transported to
GH. Maxie's dignosed as okay, but Felicia can't feel her feet. Later, when
Frisco climbs into her hospital bed to snuggle with her, they realize that she can feel
his shoes. They're thrilled she won't need surgery, but the Joneses don't have a
home to go to since the Brownstone's condemned, along with Robert's penthouse. Wanting to be alone with her, Robert whines when Anna tells him she offered to let the
Joneses stay with her, but Frisco informs them that they'll be moving in with Tony until
the Brownstone's remodeled. Scotty catches Mac hiding out at the Brownstone, and
Mac's forced to knock him out when Baldwin threatens to squeal. Figuring Anna's
staying at Robert's, Mac sneaks into her house and makes himself at home
Anna Held Hostage
Though it's been a long day, Robert refuses to leave police headquarters, determined to
catch Mac. Tired, Anna leaves and goes home, where the power's still out. Not
realizing Mac's asleep in her bed, she puts on her jammies and climbs in bed, turning over
just as the power comes back to find Mac in bed with her. He overpowers her when she
goes for her gun, and ties her up. Mac makes sexual innuendos at Anna, mostly
because he knows she'll tell Robert, but is surprised when Anna assumes he's gonna rape
her. He ties her to a nearby chair for the evening, and both have an unrestful night
sleeping. The next morning, Mac tries to feed her breakfast, but she spits it at
him. Jenny arrives to bid him goodbye, not realizing Anna's being held hostage, and
then Finian arrives to help Mac make his escape in a box. They loudly have a
conversation about Mac's getaway knowing Anna can hear them, but she doesn't buy their
act. Mac unties her and gives her the gun back, which she immediately points at
him. Telling him to stop or she'll shoot, Anna aims the gun at the ceiling and
fires, but then discovers Mac's removed all the bullets. She's immediately gagged
and tied up again and Mac rips out the phone. An unsuspecting delivery man wheels
the crate Mac's hiding in away.
After learning that Jenny visited Anna's house
that morning, Robert's immediately suspicious and tries to call her. The dead phone
alerts him that something's wrong, and he rushes over to find her tied up. Anna
curls up in his arms, and explains to her furious lover what happened. "Mac was
in bed with you!" Robert shouts, and vows to make his brother pay for holding Anna
hostage. When Anna tells his about the beeping noise before Mac's escape, Robert
deduces that Mac hid in a crate taken away by a delivery service and quickly calls for the
van to be stopped. Finian overhears and creates a diversion to help Mac escape
before the police can get to the delivery van. Finian stashes Mac at the house which
Mac later learns is the Eckert home when he runs into an astonished Jenny. She
agrees to keep quiet, but sweats nervously when Robert seaches the Eckert home. Robert narrowly misses finding Mac.
