Trapped on Spoon Island
After Casey sense the crystal on Spoon Island (apparently there are several pieces), he
and Anna take off on a small dingy, but end up getting washed up on shore.
Casey's
weak and needs the crystal. Cesar and his men catch the two and take them to
Wyndamere.
When Cesar hands her the phone and dares her to tell Robert, Anna
realizes she's on her own. Cesar wants to rule the world, but Casey warns him that
only he (Casey) can control the crystals. Casey tells Faison that he needs the
crystals to return home and that he knows what his dying people are in need of, the power
of love. This idea intrigues Cesar, who's jealous of their closeness and sheepishly
tells Anna "I too could be a good pupil" (in learning to love).
The next day, Cesar argues with Anna.
In
trying to impress her with the crystals, he causes a blackout across the city, knocking
unconscious everyone at Wyndere, except Casey. Feeling the pulsing crystals
upstairs, Casey comes down and cradles an unconscious Anna, crying for the first time.
Everyone awakens dazed, and Anna and Casey convince Cesar to let Casey reassemble
the crystals. He does, the power is restored, and an embarrassed Cesar orders the
guards to take Casey back upstairs. Casey refuses to leave Anna, but she convinces
him otherwise. She gets Cesar to agree to let Casey go home in exchange for wearing
the dress he had made for her and joining him for dinner. [transcript]
Unfortunately, as she's
descending the staircase, Robert arrives and is furious to learn Cesar's alive and that
Anna didn't tell him. Anna gets Cesar to leave her alone with Robert, and the two
argue about her lies. Robert yells that he had the right to know and deal with Cesar
being alive, but Anna explains she couldn't risk it. "I need you, and I think I
need you alive! ....He hates you more now then he did then," Anna states. "He
blames you...." she trails off, but Robert finishes, saying "for taking you away
from him." After Anna assures him there was no romantic relationship with
Faison because she was so in love with Robert years ago, the two discuss Sean's odd
behavior.
Cesar, rightly worried the two will reconnect
again, interrupts by bring Casey to meet Robert. He and Robert make a deal- Cesar
keeps quiet about Anna's past and lets Casey go home in exchange for Robert keeping quiet
that Cesar's alive. After Anna explains about happened right before the blackout,
Casey deduces that a small piece is missing, that's why the crystals were unstable.
Cesar loses his temper when he discovers the fu dog is fake and catches Robert with the
bugging device Sean planted. Anna calms him down by seductively agreeing to keep her
part of the deal. Meanwhile, Desiree knocks Jacques out and takes off after Sean.
Shoot Out
Robert and Casey send a message to Frisco to bring the fu dog by carrier pigeon. Frisco
arrives and tells Sean to give him the dog, but they're interrupted when Robin arrives,
having figured out that the dog has the last piece of crystal. Desiree breaks up the
group, threatening to shoot Robin if Sean doesn't give her the dog. There's a
scuffle with Frisco's shot in the shoulder, and in protecting Robin, Sean's badly
shot in the chest. Desiree flees and after arranging for the paramedics to
take Sean to the hospital, Robin takes off for Wyndamere with the sliver of crystal.
Listening in on Robert's walkie talkie, Cesar learns about the double cross and goes
nuts. He admonishes Anna and tells the guards to shoot anyone who comes on the
island.
Looking up, Anna screams "no wait!" as she sees that the Robin's
the intruder. Cesar allows Robin to safely arrive to the mansion, where she tells
her shocked parents that Frisco and Sean were shot protecting her. "You sent
one of your stinking thugs to kill my daughter!" Robert shouts at a confused Cesar,
who denys having anything to do with Desiree's actions.
Turning towards Casey, an
oblivious Robin presents him with the last piece of crystal he needs to go home.
Sending everyone into the next room, Robert tells Cesar all bets are off and that
he'll pin the shootings on Cesar if he can find any proof. After everyone bids goodbye,
Casey reassembles the crystals and leaves earth in a smoky haze. "I'm taking my
family home now," Robert informs a beaten Cesar.
The Worst Betrayal
Anna's disturbed that Shep Casey, the reporter Tiffany just hired, resembles Casey the
Alien. Tom dismisses her, saying that Casey must have seen Rogers file in Anna's PI files
and took his form. Anna just finds Rogers to be an annoying, opinionated twit.
In fact, Shep manages to annoy most people he comes across.
Sean recovers from his surgery and asks Monica
to get him a bag of pennies. After having kept watch for days along with Tiffany, a still
suspicious Robert and Anna go to confront an awaken Sean, but are lead by Monica to a
private room where Sean's been secretly moved. There, a guily Sean presents them with the
bag of pennies, a WSB symbol of betrayal, and confesses that 13 years ago he and Cesar
conspired to break up Robert and Anna's marriage. [transcript]
Cesar had told Sean about their
marriage, and together the two made a deal to have Robert discover that Anna was a double
agent. Sean claims his reason was because he feared losing both of his best agents, while
all understood that Cesars refused to let go of Anna was because of his obsession with
her. The devestated duo can barely look at their friend who laments "If it hadn't
been for my selfishness, the two of you would've lasted a lifetime." Sean begs
for forgiveness.
After leaving Sean, Anna
tries to speak to Robert, who rushes away from her to Kate, not being able to deal with
his unresolved feelings for Anna. Sean fills a surprised Tiffany in on his part of the
deception. That night, Robert talks in his sleep, mentioning "San Remo,"
"Anna," and "forever". Hurt, Katherine covers, but later when
Robin brings up the fact that she likes Italian food because she was born in Italy,
Katherine asks where, to which Robin replies "San Remo." Katherine keeps
her pain quiet.
