Another Body is
Found
Monica's shocked to discover her patient Ted Holmes dead in his hospital bed.
Anna immediately calls for an autopsy after Monica insists he didn't die of a heart
attack, and the results prove Holmes was suffocated. Sandy later tells her dad, Buzz,
about Holmes death. Holmes had recently upset Buzz by offering him a Chief of Staff
position then changed his mind.
Frisco takes over the Holmes case from Anna, and gets a
lead after Amy blabs that Lucy had threated Ted. Bobbie confirms that Lucy had accused Ted
of stealing a portion of royalities from her tell-all book. Frisco then confronts Lucy and
puts her on notice that she's his prime suspect. Frisco gets the forensics report and is
dismayed to learn that the fibers underneath Ted's fingernails are from the lab coats like
the ones used at GH, therefore making virtually anyone at the hospital a possible suspect.
Panicking, Lucy tells Jake that she might need him to represent her should she be charged,
but later is pleased when she overhears Buzz and Sandy talking about his problem with Ted.
She quickly informs Frisco who then questions Buzz. Buzz tells him that his alibi was that
he was on his way to Pautauk to serve as Jimmy Lee's best man. Unfortunately for Buzz, he
had pulled off the road to sleep a bit, which caused him to be arrive late.
Frisco gets another lead when Terry calls from Laurelton to
say that Sheriff Broder almost died due to food poisoning. About the same time, Broder
shows up in PC and terrifies Lucy with the news that he's investigating Holmes murder. He
then gasps, has trouble breathing, and drops dead on the floor of Lucy's apartment. She
quickly calls Jake to come over, not telling him why. The police autopsy reveals he died
from strychnine posioning, and a search of Lucy's garbage turns up in a poisoned tea bag.
Lucy then admits she served him tea, but insists that Broder used his own tea bag. Jake
agrees to represent her and invites her to stay at the Brownstone. Thanks to Amy, Frisco
learns that Buzz had searched Broder's overnight bag when he had stopped by the hospital
earlier that day.
