On
the Run Again
On the boardwalk in Atlantic City, Frisco
and Felicia find they must depend on the kindness of strangers, namely
Edna and Tessie. Unfortunately, Edna's always about to kill them before
she gets interrupted and Tessie, who the couple think is their friend,
is carrying around the mink coat Duke used to frame Felicia. They all
end up at the beach. Tessie says "Hi," to men she thinks Bert
sent to save Frisco and Felicia from Edna, but one of them sticks a gun
in her side and guides her down the beach to some pilings where Edna
shoots her dead. The Joneses, seeing that Tessie is in danger and
knowing that she can clear up all their confusion, rush to save her.
Instead they find Edna waiting for them. "Freeze," she orders,
training her gun on them. Just
as Edna is about to shoot them, Felicia tosses a handful of sand in her
face and the duo flees. Meanwhile, the report of the earlier shooting
reaches Port Charles and Anna immediately suspects that the victim is
Tessie. She gently breaks the news to Bert, not realizing that he had
sanctioned the death of his old friend as a "necessary
sacrifice." With all her instincts telling her that Tessie's murder
is connected to Frisco and Felicia, Anna goes to Atlantic City with a
worried Ramsey in tow. After a clue leads them to the Joneses' hotel
room where the runaways overhear Bert try to convince Anna to arrest
them, the couple goes on the run away- this time as stowaways in a
moving van.
Anna's in Danger
Duke realizes that Damon put a hit on the
Joneses and heads out to Atlantic City. Though he wants out of the mob
he has no power to make it happen. He does however manage to get rid of
the hitman after Frisco and Felicia and then makes sure that Damon's man
is appointed the new building commissioner.
Meanwhile,
Robin's returned from Australia. A day in the park turns into a disturbing event after the
little girl overhears two men, Damon and a cohort, threaten to kill Anna. Anna
thinks Robin's imaginging things and refuses to believe her. The more Robin
claims its true the angrier her mum gets. Finally, Robin calls
the one person who will believe her- her daddy.
Ironically the night Robin calls her dad
for help is the same night Anna and Duke share a night of passion and
she tells Duke about her past. "I always thought Robert would
come back to me," she confesses, staring off into space.
The Return of the White Knight
Tired of life on the run, Frisco and Felicia
walk back to Port Charles. They feel guilty about missing Tania's baby
shower and head over to the ADZ warehouse where they find a curious
invoice for the Olivert Traveling Carnival and where Enda waits in the
shadows with her gun. The couple hit the floor when they hear gunfire,
then flee before discovering their savior is Robert. On the docks,
Robert loses the couple but is reunited unexpectedly with his best
friend Sean [transcript].
Anna gets the shock of her
life when she finds Robert in her house and ready to camp out on her couch.
Scorpio's barrage of questions puts her on the defensive. Bert quickly
exits Anna's house to rush over and warn Damon of Robert's arrival.
Damon tries to dismiss Scorpio as a real threat but Bert's adamant that
Robert's trouble. "I'll tell you something. That man really angers
when he hears one of his friends or loved ones in danger. He's already
prepared to protect Anna and Felicia and Frisco," states the
skittish cop. "God help us if he ever finds out that we threatened
his child!" Precocious
Robin secretly arranges for Robert and Duke to meet at the zoo. The two
men immediately are on their guard. With Damon watching
his every move, Duke realizes begrudgingly that Robert may be the only
one who can turn the situation around. Angel, like the other mobsters,
is upset over Scorpio's arrival.
Angel:
"Are you telling me there's something between him and Anna?"
Duke: "No, but he was the first real love of Anna's
life and I can see why."
Angel: "You're being very charitable."
Duke: "He's an admirable man. You know I would have like
to be friends with him. I don't see how that's going to happen!"
But the proud Scot is not that happy with
the situation either as Robert's wary of him and making himself at home
at Anna's. The Aussie also informs him that he's going to run a
through background check on him on the WSB computer. Bert
is shaken by Robert's return, and when Scorpio locks himself in Anna's
office with the WSB computer, he knows it's only a matter of time till
his true identity is revealed. Robert knows Anna has investigated Duke
but continues to dig deeper. She's at a loss to explain about a month
missing from Duke's life when he said he was in Scotland and apparently
wasn't. Duke doesn't want to talk about it.
The End of the Affair
Jake works on getting Sean out of jail. When the
bail is set beyond Sean's reach, Tiffany comes to his rescue and springs him. A
grateful Sean celebrates with Tiff in his penthouse. Monica arrives and misreads
the situation, telling her lover it's over between them. The Q plot is working
perfectly. Well, almost. A still married Alan has just proposed to Charity and
plans to never return to Port Charles.
Sean's happy to see his best
friend back in town. A happy Alan sends a telegram to Edward telling him
he's ready to end the charade. Monica's detective, Chuck Morrison, tips
her off to the telegram. Arriving in Pautuak, Monica finds her
"dead" hubby at Charity's general store.
Once Duke learns that Anna's life is in
danger he prints out every piece of evidence on Mr. Big and Tumble Dry
and sends it by messenger to Bert Ramsey. Before he can flee Port
Charles, Damon enters carrying the package and promises to kill Anna and
Robin if Duke breathes a word to the police.
Let's Tango
Frisco and Felicia go undercover at the
Olivert Carnival and get suspicious when they overhear two Frenchmen
talking about treasure chests and Port Charles. Mr. Big is using the
circus as a front to launder money from Monte Carlo. Felicia does her
dance of the veils for one of the Frenchmen and cops a key to the
treasure chest. They get close to opening the chest when they run into
Bud Price, the first of many hitmen trying to bump them off. Before they
can get to the money, it's transported to Port Charles.
At Duke's Club, a masquerade is held so
the treasure chest brought in without notice. While Anna and Duke tango,
the Frenchmen bring a chest of money to Duke's vault. Scorpio folows
them to Duke's apartment where Damon gladly shows him the chest, which
has been emptied and replaced with fake gold coins and play money.
Robert does manage to find a clue- an invoice for the Olivert Carnival.
Sean later informs his best friend that the circus is in town. How convenient. The Bartered Bride
With Scorpio digging his heels
in, Damon and Bert decide they need to seal Anna's loyalty and tell Duke
to propose. He refuses at first but eventually gives in. Anna's thrilled
but confides in Filomena that she doesn't think she will actually go
through with the wedding. Robin's thrilled also, but the impending
marriage is not going over well with the rest of Anna's family and
friends. Robert and Sean are appalled, as is Robin's godfather
Buzz Stryker who's trying to over come his drug addiction. Back
at the circus, Frisco and Felicia are being watched as they search for
clues. Snooping around in one of the trailers, Frisco runs into a clown
with a familiar accent- Robert in disguise. Later, when Frisco gets
knocked into a feed bag by a playful elephant he is surprised to find
hundred dollar bills falling out of the bags. One of the circus men,
Cory, goes after Frisco and demands to see the Tumble Dry printout. In
another tent, Felicia is being tormented with a snake. Scorpio stops the
interrogation by shooting the snake. Robert, Frisco and Felicia are
taken captive and driven to Crystal Lake to be disposed of. An
unconscious Robert comes to and saves the day. After knocking out their
captives, the trio race to Duke's Club to catch the final money transfer
in action.
