 Anna, Baby, and Daddies Times
Two
Returning to PC, Duke learns that Anna was ill
and went to GH for tests. He's thrilled when she announces "We're going to have a
baby." Robin's also thrilled. Robert, on the other hand, is furious, yelling that they're placing their
unborn child in danger. Anna tries to placate her ex by promising not to spy on the mob
anymore, leaving that up to Duke. Robert still continues to pout, his jealously peaked
that another man will now also be the father of one of Anna's children. Both he and Duke
realize that Robin had been the strongest bond between the ex-couple.
Robert's also
surprised when Anna tells him that Olivia St. John is really Victor's daughter. He assumes
Cheryl doesn't know this, and tells a guilty Cheryl "You're too naive and honest to
deal with people like her. She might hurt you." Cheryl continues to keep mum about
her past with the Jerome family, knowing that once he learns of her past he'll dump her.
 Olivia secretly sends the Laverys a set of lovebirds, and meets
Robin at Cheryl's apartment, where she lies to Robin that if one of the lovebirds dies, so
will the other. Robin becomes very watchful over the birds. All the strain
with the mob stuff is weighing heavy on Anna, who's having serious dizzy spells.
At
Kelly's, Robert nags at her about Duke, and she tries to reassure him that she can love
both Robin and a new baby equally. He backs off after witnessing her having a dizzy spell
and insists on taking her to GH. See, you are interested in the baby, Anna teases
her ex.
When the doctor advises she stay overnight, Robert kisses her and says he'll
babysit Robin that night so she doesn't have to worry. Meanwhile, Alan tells Duke
not to tell Anna about Olivia possibly pregnant since Anna's having a difficult
time. Robert thanks Cheryl for her understanding his need to be so involved with
Anna and Robin's lives, and announces his love for her. Cheryl's thrilled to hear
his confessions of love, but she also notices his interest in Anna and her unborn baby.
Olivia on the
Rampage
"You disgust me. You're sick and demented," Duke hurls at
Olivia, who's angry that he's ignoring her. Vowing never to return, he storms off,
making Victor suspicious. She lies to her father that Duke seduced her and now he
won't take responsibility for her pregnancy. Victor blows a gasket, but is calmed
down after his mistress, Dimitra, informs him that Olivia's an ambitious liar who may have
had her own brother murdered. He then confronts Olivia about her connection to
the Carter mob, threatening that if she was involved with Julian's death that he would see
her dead too. In his fury, Victor has chest pain and Olivia pockets his medication,
claims to go get help but instead waits outside the door. Duke's sudden arrival
blows her scheme, so she pretends she was going for help. As he's rushed to surgery,
Victor tries to warn Duke, saying "Olivia... lies, all lies."
Weary, Dimitra posts
bodyguards at outside Victor's door and argues with Olivia everytime she tries to see
Victor. Duke's forced to tell Robert about his indiscretion with Olivia. Robert refuses to let Lavery walk away from the mob, wanting to nail the mob (and perhaps
Duke) even more. When Duke makes Olivia take a pregnancy test at GH to prove she's really
pregnant, Dimitra foils Olivia's scheme by switching back the correct sample.
The
sample proves Olivia's not pregnant, and a furious Duke is overheard shouting at her,
"If you ever come neary my family, I'll kill you!"
She retaliates by arranging
for one of the birds to die, freaking out Robin and the Laverys. Anna refuses to
listen to Robin's claims that someone must have tampered with the alarm because the bird
was alright a little while earlier. Anna misunderstands, thinking Robin's making it
up, and asks Robert to cheer Robin up by taking her to the zoo. There, Robin blabs
all to her dad, who's convinced that she's right, and checks out the alarm system.
Anna Loses her
Baby
Realizing Duke will never leave Anna for her, Olivia decides to have
him killed. Her lackey, Tim, get a key from unsuspecting Cheryl, then rigs the
elevator to fall. Anna's thrilled that she and baby are doing well, and pays a visit
to Duke at the club. A phone call delays him from leaving, so she goes takes the
elevator down alone. Within seconds, the elevator plunges and both Angel and Duke
hear her screams. Rushing to the basement, Duke pries the doors open to get to his
unconscious wife. She comes to in his arms, but starts having pain in her
stomach.
The Laverys rush to the hospital, where Anna's diagnosised with a
concussion and a sprained ankle. However, later she begins having pain again, and
miscarries. Anna, Duke, Robin, and Robert are devastated. She and Duke mourn
together, but it isn't until Robert comes to her side that Anna finally breaks down while
a helpless Duke looks on. Robert quickly figures out that Duke was the intended
victim and that Tim must be working for Olivia. When Tim phones her for getaway
money, Olivia sends a hitman after him, then tries to come up with a way to cover her
tracks.
