Anna
Framed
Olivia comes to and blames Anna for the shooting, claiming, "Anna was
wild... She shot me!" before falling unconscious. As a stunned Anna is
arrested for attempted murder, Duke cables for Jake, who's in South America, to
come back and respresent Anna. When Duke finds sequins in the nightstand where
Anna keeps her gun, Olin suggests they fell off Anna's dress, but neither
realize that Robert had found similar sequins at the crime scene. Robert assumes
those sequins came from Olivia's dress. The crime sweep reveals a partial
fingerprint on the balcony, a shell casing on the ground below, and an earring.
Cheryl's jumpy when she realizes that it's her earring, which Julian had made
especially for her.
Anna pleads not guilty at her
arrainment. Scott manages to have bail denied for Anna, causing a furious Duke
to punch him out. Robert approvingly watches on. Robert then questions Victor
and his mistress, Dimitra, both who have alibis. Cheryl's having a hard time
lying to Robert and almost confesses, but is stopped by Julian. Since everyone
thinks Julian's dead, Robert doesn't think to question him. Julian gets Cheryl
to keep quiet by telling her that the two shots she made were deflected and that
"Even if the court lets you go, you'll lose Robert for sure this
time." He continues to spy on Robert and Cheryl, and is wounded when he
overhears her tell Robert that "I love you more every day."
An unhappy Anna is forced to
re-enact the shooting under Robert's watchful eye, with Sam posing as Olivia. As
Anna and Sam pretend to struggle the way Anna and Olivia did, Robert goes
outside to knock on the door (which Anna recalls happened). He surprises them by
appearing suddenly on the balcony, yelling "Bang!" Robert deduces a
third person was present and shot Olivia. Robert later tells Sean, "We
simply need a suspect," after which an upset Cheryl calls telling him she
need to talk to him.
Jake arrives back to be Anna's
co-counselor, but a reunion with Bobbie is out. Duke and Robert compare notes
about the sequins and Robert learns that the earring a gift from Julian to
Cheryl. Afterwards, Cheryl's confession is too late and an angry Robert asks her
if she shot Olivia. She lies that she was alone on the balcony, and her tears
cause Robert to soften and embrace her.
However, once she leaves, Robert orders
a round the clock surveillance on Cheryl. He doesn't think she framed Anna, but
he does suspect Cheryl knows did. Later, Robert gets the fingerprint analysis,
and a furious Duke misinterprets the situation when he sneaks a peek at the
report. Duke assumes Robert's protecting Cheryl. Meanwhile Cheryl gets a
mysterious phone call from "Julian" and goes to pier six to meet him.
Duke's following after her.
The Dragon Bone
Tom catches onto Arielle's game,
realizing she's only pretending to need therapy in order to pump him for
information about Felicia and Colton's relationship. A confused Felicia refuses
to speak to Colton, who's afraid he'll lose her if he continues to do the
undercover work. Sean gets Colton a WSB file that says Arielle was a pawn of
terrorists like Colton. Arielle confesses she married Larry for protection when
Colton confronts her, and they make a tentative truce. At the Q mansion, Larry
exhibits the Dragon Bone at a dinner soiree, stating that he plans to give the
Chinese government the bone in exchange for trading contracts.
