#40 Alexis Carrington,
Dynasty: "Starts with B. rhymes with rich. Alexis Morell Carrington
Colby Dexter Rowan seemed to be the dark-haired, dark-souled demon child of J.R. Ewing and
Cruella De Vil. Dynasty was just a so-so affair until Joan Collins camped it up into the
ratings stratosphere. Alexis loved the high life and had the seductive ability to wrap men
around her, uh, little finger to get what she wanted. Then she'd discard them like some
two-day-old pate. She laughed at fate, dodging bullets in Moldavia and, in the last
episode, a seemingly certain death-dealing fall from a balcony. And she had not one but
two-dyed-roots catfights with the saintly Krystle. Alexis was a horrible, horrible person.
We loved her." (TV Guide's 50 Greatest Characters Ever, Oct. 16, 1999)
