Cesar notices that Desiree is bored.
Desiree (wistfully): "I'm not feeling too useful. Maybe I should take up American cooking."
Cesar (amused): "Is that a threat?" 

Intrigued by Robin's picture, Cesar points out her beauty to his sidekick, Jacques.
Cesar: "She's a very beautiful girl, hmm? Something very haunting about those eyes."

Jacques remarks on Cesar's obsession with his novel's heroine, Davnee, whom Cesar has secretly based on Anna Devane. Neither yet know that Anna is Robin's mother.
Jacques: "She's um, she's very real to you, isn't she?"
Cesar: "A day doesn't pass that I don't think of her, wonder where she is, what she's doing."  (He picks up his novel and stares at the jacket cover which has a drawing of Anna and compares it to Robin's picture.) "Fascinating, don't you think?
Jacques: "I can see a slight resemblance."
Cesar: "A slight resemblance?  No, no, no. It's much more than that. It's uncanny."

Desiree's questions Cesar about his heroine, Davnee.
Desiree: "I've often wondered who the role model is for such a heroine."
Cesar (refusing to answer, puffs on his cigar): "What makes you think she exists?"
Desiree: "She's so vivid, so real. As if you know her intimately."

Desiree questions Cesar about Sean Donely.
Desiree: "You've known this man for a long time? Mister Donely?"
Cesar: "Yes, I've known him for a long time. You might say a life time ago."
Desiree: "Interesting. Would such a man be interested in a woman like Davnee?"
Cesar: "What man isn't?"

Desiree's upset that Sean isn't eating out of her palm like she bragged he would.
Desiree: "And I don't like Monsieur Donely very much either."
Cesar (amused): "He is a challenge.  I told you that."

July, The Cartel is meeting upstairs at the PC Hotel. It's the day before the Scorpio wedding.
Cesar: "I really do enjoy being back in Port Charles."
Taub: "Well, I like what I've seen of it so far."
Cesar: "Oh, it can grow on you. It's a very exciting and romantic city."
Taub (intrigued):  "Really?"
Cesar (thinking about Anna): "You could fall in love here. I know I did."
