Fan Weekend Event Recaps and Pictures:
I've been fortunate
enough to attend several GH fan events. The following pages detail some
of the adventures my friends and I have had at these events.

The GH Luncheon
Event, July 22, 2006
The
luncheon was the best organized it's ever been. No
standing outside in the sun for hours waiting to get in.
The food was much better than usual. The heat only got
worse as the day went on but at least I finally got to sit on
the right side of the room again after years of being on the
left. Which is important only for the fact that the actors come
in from that side. The fan club also posted a seating
chart of where the actors would be, so I knew exactly where
Tristan, Finola, Kimberly and Jason were scheduled. Which was
near my table, wahoo. And thanks to the wonderful FinFans that
attended, I got a heads up that Finola was running late but
would be there.
John
Ingle, who has to be one of the sweetest man on this earth, got
a huge standing ovation as he came in and served as emcee to
introduce the actors. Was surprised to see Laura Wright
since I'd been told she wasn't coming because she was on
vacation. And she was very popular, which again suprised
me since Carly seems to get more negative response online than
positive.

Tristan
called in to say he was on his way and got there after all the
actors had made the stage. I've never really ran track in
my life but as soon as he was seated I FLEW over the surrounding
chairs and tables to get into his line. And what a line -
it trailed all the way down the hallway. Luckily I was at
the front end of it. He's so cute in person and got a kick
out of the picture I'd brought him to sign. In fact, he
remembered exactly when it was taken, which was during the Demi
Moore storyline. Kimberly is even more petite and
beautiful in person than I remember from the last time I met
her. Jason is drop dead gorgeous in person... and very
tall. The security person couldn't figure out how to work
my camera so I got to pose with Jason three times [with our arms
around one another] before she got the camera to work. He
was very sweet about it. Finola just glowed and was even
more beautiful than the day before. She cracked up at the
picture I presented to her to sign - one of Duke, Anna and
Robert - and joked about how awfully big her hair was in the
80s. Because I got in line for the biggies this year, I actually
meet less GHers than in the past. But that's okay... I got
to meet Tristan and Finola [again]. It was totally worth
missing most of the cast.

I
think Sonya [Epiphany] got the second loudest cheer from the
crowd, which was great. She seemed so happy to be there
and meeting with the fans. A very nice lady. Ted
King was really popular and his line was too long, so skipped
it. Julie Berman is adorable, she's so perfectly cast as
Luke and Laura's daughter.
