The brothers
Scorpio- Robert Xavier and Malcolm "Mac"
"Most Heroic
Characters- Mac Scorpio (SOM 11/10/98): When Robert's younger brother came
to town, he wasn't the good-natured, morally correct, law enforcer he is today. But
Mac has chilled out quite a bit and become one of the finest police commissioners in Port
Charles history. Aside from keeping the town safe, Mac gets a special nod for his
heroism regarding his neice, Robin. When Robert and Anna met their untimely deaths,
Mac took in their daughter, Robin, whom he cares for and supports as if she were his
own. Their tender talks when Robin discovered she was HIV-positive showed
beautifully that Mac was a hero of the heart as well. He's also good with a gun, as
he has protected Felicia from psycho stalker Ryan on numerous occassions. And when
Mac discovered Kevin was the man responsible for stalking Felicia recently, he helped his
friend deal with his problems, showing his compassion yet again. Undoubtedly, big
brother would be proud."

The
Remaining Scorpio Family
1995- When Mac learned of Stone's
illness and saw how upset Stone was over possibly passing it onto Robin, Mac finally
accepted Stone and forgave him. Later, Robin confessed to Mac that she too was ill,
and he swore to stand by his neice. Both are each other's only living close
relatives.
Though he was
ecstatic when Robin was accepted to Yale, Mac was also sad that she was leaving Port
Charles, leaving him alone. In fact, when Mac arrived in town in 1991, only Robin
would accept him into the family, as his brother was still angry at him & Anna didn't
know what to make of him. Not knowing who she was, Mac kept trying to brush her off, so
Robin had to follow him all over town until she was able to tell him she was his neice.
