1996 Episode Recaps

• 6/3- Jax tries to calm Brenda's fears of their rushing into marriage and gets her to admit how unhappy she was most of the time when she was involved with Sonny. Mac, Katherine, Mike, Luke and Laura are still in shock over the bombing. At the penthouse, Jason refuses to leave Sonny alone [per Robin's request] and tells him he's not leaving and it wasn't Sonny's fault. 

• 6/4- Carly walks in on Tony comforting Bobbie, but instead of fighting with her rival, Carly and Bobbie have a heart-to-heart about Lily's death. Later, Carly arranges a special dinner for Tony and Bobbie. Jason refuses to let Sonny out of his sight, so the mobster hands Jason a gun and tells him only to point it when he means to shoot. After not being able to locate Sonny or Jason, Mac gets Robin to let him into the penthouse. Both are gone and Mac puts out an APB on the duo. He's certain Sonny's on his way to get even with Riveria. "Mac, what are you saying? Are you saying this man killed his own daughter?" an incredulous Robin asks her uncle. Sonny tells an ailing Riveria that not only did he kill his own daughter but his grandchild as well.

• 6/5- Mac confronts Sonny and Jason when they return. After ordering Jason to call Robin to alay her fears, Mac argues with Sonny about Riveria's death and Sonny's power gain. Scorpio warns him not to turn PC into a mob killing field. They also argue over Jason. Mac doesn't want Robin to lose another person she loves. "I don't want her investing in someone else she could lose," Mac pleads. Jason rebuffs Mac's attempts, but Sonny seems to have absorbed some of Mac's comments. Felicia's still rattled about the tampered flowers and calls Mac in for help. Mariah's sudden arrival breaks up Felicia and Tom's romance. Robin tells Jason she can't stop worrying about him but she won't tell him what to do. She's not happy to hear about Mac's visit and says she's an adult who picks her own friends. Laura rejects Justus advice not to take the stand. Before leaving town, Mac pulls Luke out of the hearing to tell him the video tape should be restore while he's gone and that Luke better tell him what's on it. Sonny half-heartedly tries to talk Jason out of working for him. Felicia's confused when people turn up in her flat wanting to rent it.

• 6/6- Felicia throws the would-be-renters out and confesses to Mariah all the harrassment she's had lately. Mariah asks to take the girls to Texas for safety and Felicia reluctantly agrees. Tom promises to watch over her. Dara cross-examines Laura on the stand. AJ irks Ned by suggesting that Edward plans to name Justus as chief legal counsel for ELQ.

• 6/7- Tom picks up weird vibes from Kevin, who later shouts at Lucy. She forgives him but warns him she won't be his punching bag. After Lily's funeral, Jason and Robin discuss how kind Lily was and how to deal with grief. Sonny deals with Harry. Guilt-ridden Justus passionately gives his closing arguements to the jury.

• 6/10- Edward is worried about Justus. Carly has to cover quick when Bobbie tells Ruby about Carly taking money from the till. Carly gets stuck between a feuding Katherine and Lucy. Bobbie, relieve that Luke hasn't fled with his family, assures Laura she'll look out for the kids if the worse happens. "We don't have time to make a fake ID for Foster," a tearful Laura cracks and thanks her sis-in-law. Carly's touched when Bobbie tells her she's part of the family. Luke watches on as Mac's man works on restoring the video tape.
• 6/11- Ned walks in on Lois expressing her fears to Bobbie about raising her baby in the Q household. Carly's amused when Tony tells her that Lucy was married to both him and Alan, then flirts with AJ. Luke's astonished when the video image reveals Justus as Damian's murder. Everyone celebrates when Laura receives a not guilty verdict but privately, Luke confronts Justus with the evidence.
• 6/12- Jax's parents are caught off guard when Jax arrives with his new bride. After interviewing several prospective students, Kevin hires Stone's sister, Gina. Lucy and Katherine still at each other's throats. Sonny turns Mike away.
• 6/13- While Mac is talking to Felicia and Tom about her stalker, Robin enters and helps herself to some cookies on the counter. "It's okay. I'm allowed to do this," Robin says when Carly rudely asks her what she's doing behind the counter and takes away the cookies. "I don't feed her so when she gets hungry I just have her come over here," Mac jokes as he comes from behind and introduces his neice to an embarrassed Carly. Sonny chases Jason off, who then beings target shooting with his new gun. Arriving at the box car and hearing gunfire, a terrified Robin hits the floor. Jason comes around the corner and proudly tells her how good his aim is. He tells her it's okay for them to worry about each other and then describes Sonny's depressive state. Robin takes off for the penthouse and finds Sonny bleeding and smashing up the piano. She wraps his hand and consoles him. Meanwhile, Jason runs into Carly at Jake's Bar. Mac interrupts Tom and Felicia but they just pick up making out afterwards.

• 6/21- At the Nurses Ball, Robin delivers her speech about living with AIDS and ends ups in tears. Jason ends up carrying her off the stage.

• 7/19- After Steve Hardy's funeral, Felicia spies on Tom mourning at the grave then consoles him.  Tom tells her he loves her.

• 7/22- At The Outback, Sonny tells Robin he's trying to send Jason away before the Feds move in to arrest him.  He promises the worried waif he won't be going to jail but does ask her to convince Jason to leave Sonny's employment.  Robin agrees to after Sonny tells her he probably won't be able to protect Jason much longer.  Felicia asks Audrey to reassure Tom that Steve really had loved him.  Jax is happy when Robin interpret's Brenda's wish as a day with her prince.  Robin shoots down Mike's idea to get Brenda to talk to Sonny, then agrees to Jason's insistence that she trust him.  He won't quit working for Sonny.  Jason offers Sonny his ELQ shares at a pitence of their value.

• 7/25- Carly misinterprets Jason's appearance at GH and becomes jealous when she realizes he's there with Robin.  While his unsuspecting girlfriend visits with Alan about her medication, Jason and Carly discuss their sex arrangement.  Jason coolly answers Carly's bitter question as to why Robin always comes first with "Because that was decided before I met you."  Robin is doing okay medically.  Reaching The Outback, Robin's surprised when Jason cryptically tells her he's going to see the Quartermaines and then pulls out of their kiss.

• 7/29- Monica and Alan are appalled to learn that Jason's working for Sonny. Stefan questions Nikolas about why he visited Laura in the hospital. The Qs gang up on Sonny. Alan reminds him that he couldn't protect Lily so how can he think he can protect Jason.
• 7/30- Stefan convinces Nikolas that Laura doesn't care about him. Alan and Monica are devastated when Jason coldly tells them that if they mess with Sonny again, he'll make them pay. Luke tells Laura that Helena may be dying and that Stefan now controls the family. Haunted by Alan's words, Sonny sulks on the docks and becomes angry when Jason brings Robin to console him. After some argument, the duo are able to bring Sonny around. They then laugh about the Qs and Jax's reaction to Sonny getting on the ELQ board. Ned and Lois decide that Eddie Maine should perform again.

• 7/31- Robin feels conflicted listening to Jason badmouth his family and tries to make him understand that they do have some good in them. Edward asks Katherine to help do spin control for ELQ. While Tom, Felicia, Lucy and Kevin gab in the background, Garcia tells Mac they've hit a dead end with the mailbox placed in Tom's name.  Brenda doesn't buy Tracy's outraged mother act and tosses her out of Jax's penthouse. Realizing that the stalker stopped around the time of Steve's death, Mac thinks he knows who the stalker is. Meanwhile, Tom and Felicia help Audrey pack up Steve's office. 

• 8/1- When Mac calls in Kevin to make a profile of Felicia's stalker, Kevin recognizes that Mac thinks the stalker is Tom. Jason explains to Robin why he allowed Sonny to buy his $60 million worth of ELQ stock in exchange for only $3 million in cash. He doesn't appreciate her comment about his financial scheme sounding very Quartermaine-like. His worshipful comments about Sonny saving him bother Robin. They make a deal that if he ever has to leave, she'll go with him. Bobbie's on guard after witnessing Tony and Carly hugging, not realizing that they're helping plan her surprise party. While the group prepare inside the Brownstone, Bobbie and Tony sit on the steps and she tells him about Nikolas. Mac discovers that Tom's WSB file has been deleted.

• 8/2- Bobbie rushes out after being startled by the surprise party. Luke tells Sonny about the Cassadines and how Stefan is emotionally blackmailing Laura. Sonny confesses to being bothered by the fact that Brenda married Jax. Bobbie gets upset over Carly's gift and rushes out again, this time bumping into Stefan, who she doesn't recognize. Luke comes across them and decks Stefan, causing Bobbie to rush inside screaming for help. Lois is thrilled with the prospect of Eddie Maine touring. As Tom lurks outside, Felicia gets a call from Mac telling her to lock herself in and that he knows who stalker is. Carly eavesdrops as Bobbie and Luke argue over Stefan. Stefan returns to Wyndamere to find Laura seated underneath her portrait, waiting for him. 

• 8/5- Lucy's worried about Kevin's mental state. Carly continues to listen to Luke and Bobbie arguing. Nikolas interrupts Laura and Stefan's heated exchange. Mac finds Tom outside Felicia's apartment staring at her and asks that he speak to her alone. He then tells Felicia he thinks Tom is her stalker. She doesn't take the news well and becomes furious at him. Felicia drags Tom in and tosses Mac out, then refuses to tell Tom why she's so mad at Scorpio. Carly continues to go after Tony. Luke's furious to discover Laura visited Wyndemere.

• 8/6- Tom inadvertently spooks Felicia. Mac asks Kevin to watch over Felicia since she won't let him near her, adding that he's got to either clear Tom or nail him. Chaos reins at The Outback as Lois sets up for Ned's concert. Since Felicia won't tell him why she's really mad at Mac, Tom asks Mac himself. Meanwhile, Kevin visits Felicia and the duo discuss Mac and Tom.

• 8/7- Felicia's shaken after witnessing one of Tom's patients freaking out and accusing him of controling her. Kevin and Lucy argue after he learns she arranged for some of his paintings to be on display at The Outback. Robin convinces Sonny and Jason to accompany her. Brenda smiles seeing Robin and Sonny dancing. Kevin doesn't answer when Sonny suggests that his paintings are of a mother and child. An appalled Tracy watches Eddie Maine perform. After the show, Robin and Jason visit with Ned and Lois. The cousins make up. Felicia and Mac have another argument over Tom, then later find her apartment trashed. Felicia takes her anger out on Mac and tosses him out again.

• 8/20- While Mac and Garcia discuss Tom, Felicia tries to reassure Tom that she regrets accusing him of stalking her. Mac hates admitting that he doesn't think Tom is the culprit. Lucy, on the otherhand, reflects on all of Kevin's odd behavior lately and suspects him of being the stalker. Robin and Jason wake up after a night of romance. Guilt-ridden for not telling Mac she was leaving, Robin calls her uncle. Mac hears the happiness in her voice and doesn't nag too much. "I have a very big heart, uncle Mac. Plenty of room for both of you," she assures him after he mentions he'd like to her to spend some time with him too. After teasing him about his importance, Mac retorts, "You can lose the shovel. I told you I'm not mad." He also orders her to tell Jason to be careful on that stupid bike of his as he's carrying precious cargo. She reminds him of a picture of Mac on a motorcycle. After a visit from Audrey, Felicia realizes that the culprit knows both her and Tom's lives inside out. Mac and Kevin are worried when they both come to the conclusion that the culprit is someone they all know. Kevin tells Mac to do whatever it takes to apprehend the stalker. Robin and Jason have a romantic day on the beach and later, she's amused to find his driver's license listing him as "Jason Morgan." A mob thug is pleased to overhear Jason make a dinner reservation.

• 12/23- Mac rushes to the hospital, where Katherine has been taken after being shot. Stefan, who accidently shot her, can't get into the Christmas spirit while tree shopping with Bobbie, Lucas and Nikolas. Miranda gives Katherine a pep talk. Later, she reacts to Mac's mention of the name "Cassadine."

• 12/24- Robin, who's in Washington on a tour to talk to school kids about the danger of AIDS, calls to cheer Katherine up. She reminds Katherine that she's being strong and willing to let Mac in, not pushing him away and wishing she were dead. Later, Jason and Robin speak on the phone, missing one another. "Why am I here?" she sighs. "I'm sick of being the HIV poster child." He reminds her how important what she's doing is. Lucy's thrilled when Felicia invites her and Kevin to join them at the hospital Christmas party.

• 12/26- Mac's not thrilled to find Nikolas in Katherine's room. Miranda interrupts Katherine's explanation of her dream about the man with the strange eyes. More flowers show up for Katherine from anonymous source. After Tony explains her options, Katherine chooses to have surgery though Mac tries to talk her out of it. 

• 12/27- Tony tells Katherine and Mac that Stefan's arranged for another surgeon to operate on Katherine. Mac and Miranda are suspicious of Stefan's motives. Bobbie helps pursuade Katherine to choose Tony as her surgeon.

• 12/31- Mac surprises Katherine with ballons, confetti and sparkling cider. He's hurt when Katherine asks him to leave her alone. Felicia muses how much different this year's celebration will be now that Bobbie and Tony are separated. Tony and Carly's sudden arrival surprises everyone. Katherine wakes up to find Stefan beside her bed and the two talk about her shooting. He's relieved to know she can't remember much or wants to. Sonny drags away a disappointed Gina so that Jason can talk privately to Robin.
