The Scorpio Files Episode Guide
*The following are episode summaries I wrote.  Some of the dates are vague because the dates on the tapes are either confusing or are missing entirely. Please ask before borrowing my text and images. Thanks!

The Snowman Caper

January
  • 1/1- New Year's Day, no show.
  • 1/4- The rest of the brownstone group are shocked about Jake's actions, except Scotty, who's slinking about.  Tiffany thinks Scotty's up to no good.  Terri's recap of Jake's suddenly walked out on Bobbie shakes Sean up.  He becomes worried about his ability to be survive in a long term relationship, and he and Tiffany argue over everything. The duo return to his penthouse and make up in bed. Sean voices his concern that if a man like Jake can just walk out on his loved one, what kind of chance does a man like Sean have. Tiffany tries to reassure him.  Both reaffirm their feelings for one another.  When Cheryl interrupts them, Tiff grabs the phone and tells her baby sis they're busy then hangs up. The couple then go back kissing.

  • 1/5- After reading one of the Snowman's letters, Felicia becomes as agitated as Anna had been.  Again, Robert tries to deflect it, saying it comes with the territory after putting away so many criminals.  "Better a poison pen than a gun," he jokes.  Felicia's not convinced.  She then complains about men hitting on her now that Frisco's now in town, Scotty Baldwin being one of these men.  "When the hubby's away, the leechers play," Robert retorts, then warns her not to trust Scotty. Their conversation is interruped by a call from Steve Hardy.  The doc and his wife are worried about Tom and Simone, who's cabin has been snowed in.  Robert calls in some favors to have the couple rescued.  Before he and Felicia can leave the office, a man enters and insists that the dog he just purchased is part of a scam in which the seller has trained the animals to return in order to be resold to the next customer.  Robert finally agrees to look into the matter and, after picking up Robin, the trio go over to the dog breeder's place.  Mr. Marsh turns out to be a very nice man and explains that he's already called the owner about the dog.  As Robin coos over the puppies, Robert and Felicia agree that Marsh is telling the truth. Robert talks to Marsh about possibly getting a dog for his daughter and notices the large dog that's just been brought in.  Marsh warns Robert that this type of dog is inappopriate for a child as it's a trained attack animal.  Unknownst to Robert, the dog is being purchased by his old foe.  Scorpio then has a hard time getting Robin to leave the puppies. "Anna would have my head if she took home a dog without first some family discussion," Robert grumbles to an amused Felicia.  Since it's the puppies feeding time, Robert finally manages to get Robin to leave.  Putnam, who's identity is finally revealed, almost walks in as Robert is ushering his excited daughter out.  Putnam explains to Marsh that there was a mix up with his money so he'll have to pay the rest later.  Marsh lets Putnam take the dog out for a walk and the duo hide in the trees, watching Robert play in the snow with Felicia and Robin.

  • 1/6- At Kelly's, a disapproving Ruby glares at Scotty and Felicia and after he's departure, warns Felicia to be on her guard with Baldwin.  He's a rat, she proclaims.  Apparently the heat is out at the Lavery home as Anna and Duke decide not to come out from under the covers. Robin enters and the trio snuggle in bed.  When asked why she isn't getting ready for school, Robin explains that school is cancelled due to the boiler blowing out and that she plans to play nurse to an ill Filomena for the rest of the day.  Angel's call to warn Duke he needs to attend to mob stuff at the club doesn't go unnoticed by Anna.  Robin's puppy talk takes over- she wants all six.  Anna's not amused when Robin quips, "Daddy said I could have them if they didn't live with him."  Duke suggests six is a bit much and they negoiate the number down.  Lavery then states he's taking the family for breakfast at Kellys.  When they're alone, Anna quizzes him about the call.  Duke lies and says he has to go in to work on the taxes, causing Anna to suspect the club is having money problems.  After the Laverys finish breakfast, Felicia and Scotty appear.  Felicia introduces him to Duke and Anna.  Scotty tells Anna about the hit-and-run case he took over from Jake and how he needs her agency's help.  Duke leaves with Robin.  Anna and gang begin questioning patrons at the Diner in the hopes of finding someone who noticed the car.  Amazingly enough, they get lucky and a man remembers seeing the first four numbers of the license plate.  Back at the PI office, Anna and Felicia search their computer and locate the car's owner.  The two ladies also talk about their hubbys and their difficulty in telling their wives the truth.  Later, Sam stops by and informs them that the driver has been arrested.  At the club, an anguished Duke tells Angel about the Carruther's situation, how Victor Jerome has ordered Lavery to kill Carruthers.

  • 1/7- Duke become riled when Jerome's thugs threaten his family but Angel alerts his boss to Anna's arrival. Duke quickly escorts her home. At the dog kennel, Robin gives Mr. Marsh a signed drawing of dogs as a thank you for letting her play with the puppies before and after school. After she leaves to go to school, Grant comes across her drawing and asks about the last name. Marsh explains she's the daughter of two big wigs. Grant's pleased to know Robbie has a child and, knowing she'll be back after school, arranges to come back in the afternoon to pick up Satan. Unseen, he watches the little girl play with the puppies and finally starts to approach her from behind. A couple enter and Grant slinks back into the waiting room. His second attempt at grabbing the child is interrupted when Filomena arrives and ushers Robin out. Angry, Grant hits the wall with his fist then notices Robin left her scarf behind. He steals it. At the PI office, Anna invites Felicia and Robert to dinner. Filomena and Robin then arrive. Anna chastises the ill granma for not staying in bed, then asks Robin where her scarf is. When she slyly says she might have left it at the kennel, Robert remarks, "Ah, knowing you, you probably stashed it behind the counter to give yourself an excuse, right, uh mmmm?" As Felicia calls the kennel about the scarf, Robin tells her parents she has to have the puppy that looks like Frisco. Anna sends Filomena home and Felicia takes Robin back to the kennel. The little girl walks by Grant but he doesn't have an opportunity to grab her. Before leaving the office, Robert learns that the Frank Walker hit-and-run case has been solved and that Scotty was involved. Cynically, Robert warns his ex not to trust Baldwin, assuring her that "Baldwin never does anything for free." Anna thinks he's wrong and won't give Baldwin a chance. As they walk out, a delivery man bring flowers for Anna from Scotty. "He probably sprayed them with pepper," Robert grunts. At home, Robin cracks her dad up by suggesting she needs to look for a hubby since they're hard to find. Sean turns up briefly to show Robert that another letter has arrived. "The Snowman has mestopholies," Robert reads. The group are spooked despite Robert trying to blow it off. "This Snowman is probably playing a game. I wouldn't worry about," he says unconvincingly. Donely leaves to join Tiffany at Duke's Club. Tiff's thrilled to see Cheryl dancing with Alan. Now maybe Cheryl will stay away from her man. Sean stuns her with a recap of the snowman letters, then interrupts Alan's dance with Cheryl. Privately, he makes an arrangement to meet with the financial whiz. Robert and Anna try to calm down their upset daughter who's had a bad dream that she's been taken from them. Across town, Grant has brought Satan home and brings in supplies to cage in a part of the basement.

  • 1/8- A nervous Alan listens in as Cheryl playing the stock market. Monica misinterprets Cheryl and Alan's celebration dinner. Grant has Robin's scarf. Robert warns Anna not to trust Scotty while at the same time Terry and Bobbie disagree on Scotty. Sean brings Robert another snowman note. Felicia unknowingly prevents Grant from grabbing Robin. Anna and Robert console Robin after she has a nightmare. Grant sets up a room for Robin in a caged area of his basement.
  • 1/9- Victor threatens Duke, who lies to a suspicious Anna. Bobbie gets angry to find that Scotty's taking over Jake's office and clients. Alan flirts with Cheryl. Monica learns that Alan's with Cheryl, and the two exchange threats. Anna and Sean talk about Duke's strange behavior. Later, Angel accidently blows Duke's cover to Anna. Grant putting up fencing. Victor orders Duke to kill Carruthers. Duke lies to Anna again.
  • 1/12- The Qs are worried that Monica will turn on them. Monica makes Alan grovel. Steve's pleas to Audrey to butt out of Tom and Simone's relationship fall on deaf ears. Robert asks Lewis to check on the snowman messages. Robert falls for Grant's red herring but Anna and others don't.
  • 1/13- Grant puts up barbed wire and gabs with his dog, Satan. Duke and Robin convince Anna to go away for ski trip but the trip is postponed when Robert buys his daughter a puppy after seeing Robin's drawing. Robin's thrilled with her puppy who she names Jiggs. Duke's upset trips cancelled due to puppy as he thinks the mob is about to retaliate against him. Robert agrees to investigate Amanda's hotel.
  • 1/14- Audrey apologizes to Simone. Cheryl flirts with Sean and manages to cause a spat between Donely and Tiffany. Cheryl sets her sights on her big sis's boyfriend. Scotty's up to his old tricks. Felicia almost catches Scotty opening Jake's letter. Bobbie only gets half of Jake's letter and overhears Felicia praising Lucy. Felicia finds another snowman letter. Ruby tries to comfort an upset Bobbie. Scotty reads the part of the letter he stole.
  • 1/15- Steve's suspicious of Scotty, who's attracted to Lucy. Robert and Anna discuss details for a sting, but a nervous Duke insists Anna stay home with Robin. Anna gives in to paranoid Duke. Charlene gets call from Colton. The Hardys and Ravelles meet for dinner. Grant cuts the phone lines to Lavery's home, knocks out Philomena and as he's about to leave with a screaming Robin, is interrupted by Anna.
  • 1/18- Grant releases Robin and after fighting with Anna, kidnaps her instead. Robin hides before Grant can grab her too. After he leaves carrying Anna, Robin goes into shock and sits down next to a bleeding Filomena. The little girl also finds Grant's ring and clutches it. Tiffany catches Sean dining with Cheryl. Anna comes to and discovers she's Grant's prisoner. Robin's puppy turns up at the dog trainer's place and he calls Duke. Both Duke and Sean become worried and rush to the Lavery home. Grant taunting a confused Anna and prevents her from escaping.
  • 1/19- Grant's nearby as Sean and Duke find Robin and Filomenia. She and Filomena are rushed to the hospital. Donely realizes Anna's been kidnapped after noticing her purse lying on the floor. Angel tells everyone about attack. A deranged Grant tells Anna about his hatred for Robert and informs her that he's gonna brick her in to die. Sean tells Tiff about the Snowman and looks for Robert, who's gone undercover with Felicia. A hysterical Duke accuses Victor of kidnapping Anna. 
  • 1/20- At the hospital, Robin's still catatonic. The hospital board meets to decide if Lucy will be the daycare director. Lucy's approved. Cheryl and Tiffany miss Felicia's call. Robin overhears that Filomenia's dead and becomes upset when she's shown Anna's photo. Scotty tells Tiffany how to reach Felicia and Robert.
  • 1/21- Learning what happened, Robert rushes to the hospital and becomes upset over Robin's condition. Anna fakes illness, then feeds poison to Satan. Nutty Grant is upset over Satan being sick. Later, Grant catches Anna trying to escape. Robert suspects Duke's involved in Anna's kidnapping. Duke kills for the mob. Sean suggests Robert take commish job. Robert misses seeing Grant while picking up Jiggs. Unfortunately, Robin doesn't react to the puppy when Robert brings him to the hospital.
  • 1/22- Grant takes picture of Anna and sends them to Robert, who has accepted the job of police commissioner again in order to find Anna. Duke demands the mob help him find his kidnapped wife. Sean and Felicia find another snowman letter. An angry Robert confronts Duke and tells him to stay out of the investigation. Anna and Grant argue. She sets a fire in order to escape but fails. Duke finally visits Robin at the hospital.

February

  • 2/26- Robert, Sean, Duke and Julian go on the chase after Anna. She's gotten lost in the snow but is found by Grant. The hospital crew prepares for Tom & Simone's wedding. Robert locates Grant's cabin, has a showdown with Grant and hugs Anna just as Duke arrives.
  • 2/29- Tom and Simone get married. Everyone's worried about Anna, who's been taken to the hospital and her condition worsens. Robert tells Robin that Anna's been found. Robert and Duke's argument is interrupted when Anna goes into cardiac arrest.
