Anna Questions Steve
The scene switches over to the Board Room on the Lobby floor.  Steve, Audrey, Jessie, Tania, Amy, and Bobbie are busy getting ready for the party.  Dan's being helped into his santa claus costume, as Anna enters.  Greetings are exchanged, and she approaches Steve.  This is taken from a script, so the actual aired scene maybe a little different, depending on how much the scene was ad-libbed from the script.

Anna: "Merry Christmas, Steve."

Steve: "Merry Christmas, Anna.  And congratulations on your new job."

Anna: "Thank you.  I'm afraid I have some official business today."

Steve: "I assume it's about the poor man who was found murdered in the brownstone."

Anna: "Yes.  I'm checking on the whereabouts of some of the tenants there.   You know Patrick O'Connor, of course."

Steve:   "Certainly.  Very promising young doctor."

Anna: "Is there anything you can tell me about Patrick's background... anything I wouldn't already know?"

Steve: "Well, he had an exceptional record at medical school... although there was a one year suspension a few years back."

Anna: "Was there a a reason?"

Steve: "No.  I assume it was financial problems.  He made up the year, however.  Is he in some kind of trouble, Anna?"

Anna: "I'm not sure.  He was the last person to enter the brownstone, before Terry discovered the body. He said he was on duty that night.  Could I check what time he signed out that night?"

Steve: "Of course.  Amy."  (Amy comes to them.)

Amy: "Hi, Anna.  You wanted to see me, Doctor Hardy?"

Steve: "Chief Devane would like to see the sign-out book for the night before last.   Would you get it, please?"

Amy: "All right."  (Amy goes.)

Steve: "Is there anything else I can do?"

Anna: "Would you happen to have a picture of Patrick in your files?"

Steve: "I'm sure I do.  May I ask why you need it?"

Anna: "He said he went to a bar after he left the hospital, before he went home.  I want to check his alibi."

Steve: "All right, I'll get the picture."

Anna: "Thank you.  Is there anything I can do to help here?"

Steve: "Audrey and Jessie might need a hand.  The children will be coming down soon."
