Robert Questions Anna About Buzz

Robin still missing. Buzz faithfully helps Anna in her search by driving around in the medical van. In this scene, Robert and Anna are at home, trying to put their heads together. Instead Robert brings up Buzz.

Robert: "Tell me about him."

Anna: "Well, I don't know really.  What do you want to know?  He's a very good doctor."

Robert: "Well, I know he's a doctor.  Tell me about HIM."

Anna: "Well, I don't know.  He seems to pretty much be a closed book as far as his personal life is concerned. Has a good sense of humor.  Uh, seems to care about people."

Robert: "Is he married?  Is he involved with anybody?"

Anna: "No, I don't know.  I mean, what are you asking me for?  We don't talk about things like that."

Robert: "Well, he knows about us, doesn't he?"

Anna: "Yes, he knows Robin's our daughter, but he doesn't know anything else."

Robert: "No details.  I mean, isn't the man curious?"

Anna (clearly annoyed now): "He's not interested! Why are you so interested in Buzz Stryker?"

Robert: "Well, because from what I've seen, I get the feeling he'd like to be more than just friends.  What do you think about that?"

Anna: "Just what I told you.  He seems to be a very fine man.  And he likes helping people."

Robert: "Well, could you be more interested?  I mean, more than just a friendship?"

Anna: "I don't know!!"  (She's getting angry now.)  "I mean, even if I thought he was attracted to me.  What are you trying to do Robert?  Set me up with Buzz Stryker so you can go to Australia feeling that I'm being cared for?"

Robert: "That is not the case at all.  Look, whether you want to realize it or not you happen to be a very beautiful young woman. I think it's time you found a man to..."

Anna (she cuts him off): "Don't tell me what to do alright?  Look, Buzz is just being very kind to me, that's all."

Robert: "I think it's more than that. You just haven't noticed because you're too concerned about Robin."

Anna: "That's right!! I am."  (She gets up and walks to window trying to end conversation.)
