This takes place right after the treasure story. Robert in front of his house and his cleaning lady walks out.
Maid: "Mr.
Scorpio, I'm sorry. I heard your car but I'm late for an appointment."
Robert: "Alright. No problem." (takes out his
keys)
Maid: "You have a visitor."
Robert: "Oh?"
Maid: "I didn't like leaving her alone. I didn't know what to
do with her. Uh, I'm glad you're home." (she leaves him there, curious.)
(He opens the door and goes in to see a little girl with a doll standing there in his
living room)
Robin (all smiles): "Hi!"
Robert (a little confused): "Uh, hi yourself. Who are you?"
Robin: "My name's Robin."
The scene ends and returns with Robert on the phone and little Robin eating a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich.
Robert: "Burt, look. I'd like you to get over here right away. Huh? No, I'm not feeling lonely. Not at this moment anyway." (He looks over at Robin) "Yeah. Well, I don't know what it's all about. I have a feeling something strange is about to come down on me." (looks at Robin again)
Robin: Good sandwich.
The scene ends. Burt, Frisco, and Felicia show up at Robert's place.
Robert: "Felicia, what do you know about kids?"
Felicia: "Great. I love them."
Frisco (nervous): "What do you know about kids?"
Felicia: "At the hacienda, a lot of guests had kids. Why are we talking about kids?"
Frisco (seeing Robin come out of the kitchen): " I think I know why." (All four adults stare at Robin)
Felicia: Well, who are you?
Robin: "My name is Robin Soltini."
Robert: "Now you all know as much about Robin as I do."
Burt: "What? Start from the beginning."
Robert: "My cleaning lady said I had a guest waiting for me. Meet my guest. Now I don't know who she is or how she got here." (He goes to sit near her) "So, your name's Robin Soltini? Where you from, ducks?" (He smiles at her)
Robin: "New York City. I live with my grandma."
Robert: "Well, now, um. Where? Where do you live in New York City?"
Robin: "In a big building."
Robert: "What's the address?"
Robin: "I don't know. We just moved there."
Robert: "Well, what's the address of the other building?"
Robin: "I forgot."
Burt (teasing): "You've done better Robert."
Robin: "It was near a big park."
Frisco: "Big park? Sounds like Central Park."
Robin: "But I came from summer camp."
Robert: "Ah! Summer camp. More better. What was the name of the camp, love?"
Robin (confused): "It's hard."
Robert: "What's hard?"
Robin: "The name."
Robert: "Of the camp?"
Felicia: "Does it have a funny name?" (to the adults) "A lot of camps have Indian names."
Robin: "It had a funny name. It started out 'wah'." (all the adults mumble "wah")
Robert: "Alright. Let's let the camp go for a minute."
Felicia: "How old are you?"
Robin: "Six."
Felicia (cautioning him to ease up on his questioning): "That's very young Robert."
Frisco: "How did you get here Robin?"
Robin: "Well, my grandma sprained her ankle so she couldn't pick me up today."
Robert: "Well, sorry to hear that. Well, who picked you up and brought you here?"
Robin: "A nice man in a big black car. I'm to wait until my grandma comes to get me."
Robert: "Alright. Now we're getting somewhere. What was the name of the nice man?"
Robin: "I don't know. I didn't know him, but he was okay." (She stops and rubs her eyes) "I'm getting sleepy."
Felicia: "Honey, can you tell me about your grandma?"
Robin: "She calls me 'cara mia'."
Burt: "Cara mia". That's Italian.
Robin: "My grandma is."
Frisco: "Yeah. Soltini fits."
Felicia: "You have brothers, sisters?"
Robin: "No, but grandma and I have a friend."
Robert: "Uh, right, okay. We're getting close. What's her name?"
Robin: "I call her luv and she calls me luv."
Robert (frustrated): "That's it?"
Robin: "She's pretty." (to Felicia) "She has hair like you. I'm sleepy."
Burt (to Robert): "Well, what do you think?"
Robert: "I don't understand. And what I don't understand, bothers me."
