Anna Comes Clean About Robin

The guard shows up with the lemon ices...
Robert: "Thank you very much."

Guard: "My pleasure, Mr. Commissioner."

Robert: "Thank you again."  (Anna comes downstairs)

Anna: "Um, she's gone to sleep.  I'll put those lemon ices in the freezer, shall I?"  (They stare at each other as Anna takes the ices from Robert)

Robert (Pacing as Anna returns from the kitchen): "I think you'd better sit down, Anna."

Anna  "Yes, I suppose I should."

Robert: "Robin Soltini.  Should be Scorpio, not Soltini shouldn't it?  She said she was six years old."

Anna: "Yes."

Robert (Smiles): "She captured my heart. Just like someone else did almost seven years ago.  Tell me I'm right."

Anna (smiles): "Yes. Her name is Robin Scorpio. That is her name on her birth certificate in Italy. You say she captured your heart?"

Robert: "Yes."

Anna (laughs, relieved): "Well, she has a knack of doing that.  I suppose it's because she was...born out of love." (she looks down shyly)

Robert: "Is she the secret you regretted not telling me when you thought I was dead?"  (Note: This was when Robert fell out of the tram during the treasure story)

Anna: "Yes.  When I knew you were alive again, I just couldn't interfere in your life anymore, Robert, because of Holly."

Robert: "Well, I understand."

Anna: "See, I never-never wanted to use her as a pawn and I don't want her to be a hold on you.  But it's just, well, she was kidnapped."

Robert: "And brought here.  Now the question is why?"  (He Pause)   "Could the DVX know that I'm Robin's father?"

Anna: "Well someone knows.  I don't know if it's the DVX though.  Oh, Robert.  Someone knows us too well."

Robert: "Any ideas?"

Anna: "None.  Ever since she was born, I've kept her identity a secret."

Robert: "You almost succeeded.  Well, at least as far as where I was concerned."

Anna: "Do you feel like we're being maneuvered?"

Robert: "Yeah, and I don't like it."

Anna: "And I don't like it.  Because Robin is in danger, I can feel it."   (They both get up)

Robert: "She could be."

Anna: "Oh Robert, I'm so tired.  I'm not thinking straight."

Robert: "I can't figure out the connections here."

Anna: "Or the moves or anything."

Robert (looks up towards Robin's room): "Our child?"

Anna: "Yes."

Robert: "I'm not used to this sort of thing.  I mean, I think she's gorgeous, charming, beautiful, intelligent.  But is that just because I'm her father?

Anna: "Well, you thought she was that before you knew she was your daughter didn't you?"

Robert: "Yeah.  You're right. I did." (he smiles)  "But she's all of those things and she's my daughter."  (he's very proud).  "Now that just proves it.  I'm not the least bit biased."

Anna (playing along): " Oh no, of course not."

Robert: "You brought up a wonderful child, Anna."

Anna (embarassed): "Well, uh Filomena, uh, she helped a lot too."  (she looks down and fidgets)

Robert: "Uh huh.  Yeah, well you see, I happen to know all about the blonde haired lady called Luv.  Must have been very hard for you not to tell her that you were her mother."

Anna (sad): " I couldn't Robert.  Not with our past.  What are we going to do?"

Robert: "Well, I know something that I'm not going to do.  I'm not going to leave here (PC) till I find out who's threatening my child.  We'll send for Filomena and bring her here."
