Robert Worries About His Family's Future I
*This wonderful transcript was done by Anna on July 26, 1999 for the Robert and Anna Message Board. With permission, The Scorpio Files site is archiving her transcripts that are a month or more old.

Filomena has come home from the hospital, the Asian Quarter story is now over and everyone's lives are going back to normal.  Robin is playing nurse to Filomena in the beginning of this scene.

Filomenia: "Okay nurse."  (She and Anna both laugh.)

Anna: "Oh, Filomena, it's so good to have you back. You don't know how missed you were when you were away."

Robin: "Do you want tea, mommy?"

Anna (pauses and looks at her): "Yes, please darling."

Robin: "What's the matter?"  (She goes to Anna.)

Anna (grabs her, hugs her and smiles): "Nothing's the matter. It's just so nice to hear you call
me mommy."

Robin: "Mommy? When can I go to school? I've been waiting and waiting."

Anna: "I know. I know. Well, now that all these games are over it should be really soon. How about that?"

Robin: "Can I go to school with my friend Gee Sung?"

Filomenia (takes thermometer out of her mouth): "We no go back to New York?"

Robin: "Grandma, put it back. It's not time yet."

Filomenia: "Oh alright nurse. Right away."

Robin: "We don't have to go back to New York? Do we, mommy? I want to stay here in Port Charles with Gee Sung, Frisco, Felicia, and daddy."  (The front door opens and Robert comes in.)

Robert: "What's this about daddy?"

Robin (runs into his arms): "Daddy, you're home!!"  (They hug.)  "I want to stay here in Port Charles with you."

Robert: "Well sweetheart, you know I'm going back to Australia."

Robin: "I know, but can grandma and I come and visit you?"

Robert: "Absolutely."

Robin: "And you're not leaving right away?"

Robert: "No indeed, I'm not."

Robin: "Good, then we'll all be together in Port Charles." (A concerned look appears on Anna's face, and Robert notices.)

Filomenia (holding thermometer): "Uh it's not time yet?"

Robin: (looks at her watch) "I guess it's long enough."

Filomenia: "So how am I, eh?"

Robin: "I think you're normal."

Filomenia: "Oh good, I am normal. What a relief. I think that the tea is cold so come and help me warm it up, eh?"  (She gets up and Robin follows her into the kitchen.)

Robin: "Okay but let me help you."  (Robert and Anna look on as she leaves room.)

Anna: "Oh, she's so anxious to go back to school."

Robert: "She's making us confront the future isn't she?"

Anna: "Yeah, I suppose so. You don't really have much to worry about concerning your future."

Robert: "No. Nothing except you and Robin."

Anna: "I don't want you to be concerned about us, Robert."

Robert: "Anna, what are you gonna do? How are you gonna support her?"

Anna: "Well, I'm not sure yet."  (She walks to couch and Robert follows her.)

Robert: "You can't go back to fencing stolen goods."

Anna: "Of course not! I know that. I'll think of something."

Robert: "I have a financial and emotional responsibility for both of you."

Anna: "You don't. Look, I don't want us to be a burden on you."

Robert: "You carried the burden long enough. Now, you want to stay in Port Charles?"

Anna (thinks): "I'm not sure."  (They sit down)  "There aren't a lot of happy memories here really. And there are a lot of people that aren't really fond of Anna Devane."

Robert: "On the other hand, there are a lot of people who are fond of Anna Devane."

Anna: "Yes, well I think I'd rather live anonymously in New York City."

Robert: "What about Robin? She has ties here now. You're gonna have a hard time convincing her to leave Port Charles."

Anna looks at Robert. Confused, she ponders and paces as he looks on.
