Robert and Anna Say Goodbye
*This wonderful transcript was done by Anna on August 16, 1999 for the Robert and Anna Message Board. With permission, The Scorpio Files site is archiving her transcripts that are a month or more old.

I'm actually posting two transcripts today. They are both very brief scenes and they pretty much end the Asian Quarter story so that I may continue onto The Aztec treasure next week. Like a time machine, we'll be going back instead of forward- lol. Enjoy!

Anna: "Well Robert. Once again you've pretty much saved my neck. Until I got this job with the police force, you know, I really didn't know what I was going to do. I was seriously considering sending Robin to Australia to live with you and Holly. I really was. I thought she'd be better off there than here with me."

Robert: "Don't be ridiculous."

Anna: "No, I meant it Robert. But that's changed now. Thanks to you because now I can honestly say that my future looks pretty bright."

Robert: "Yours and your daughters. Robin belongs with her mother." (They smile understandingly at each other and then his expression turns serious.)  "Now there's one final order I have to issue as police commissioner."

Anna: "Oh yes sir?"  (She stands at attention.)

Robert: "There will be NO goodbye's tomorrow at the airport. Because I couldn't deal with it, okay?"

Anna (salutes him):  "10-4."

NEXT SCENE.... Robert and Anna at the airport.

Robert: "That was the last boarding call wasn't it?"

Anna: "Um, yeah I think it was."

Robert: "While we're both alive, nothing is final so I'm not saying good-bye."

Anna: "Yeah, we've had several of them, haven't we?"

Robert: "I know you'll look after Robin, but I want you to look after yourself too."

Anna: "I will. I've got something to live for and uh, someone to love very much."

Robert: "Yeah. Well we've both got new lives ahead of us but, if you ever need me for anything."

Anna (trying not to cry): "I know that."

Robert (pretty emotional himself): "It's real difficult saying good-bye to...part of my life."

Anna (crying now): "Give Holly my best. She's getting the best."

(Robert grabs her and kisses her. Stunned, Anna gasps and he kisses her again.) Robert (on the verge of tears): "Good-bye."

(Anna's clip-on earring falls off. I'm sure this wasn't a part of the script. In traditional ad-lib form, Tristan keeps the scene going. He picks up the earring and hands it to her.)  Robert: "You dropped this."

Anna takes the earring and laughs and cries as he walks away and she looks on in tears.
