Robert Invites Anna to Dinner

Anna is standing on the docks, staring out at the water. Robert walks by. He sees her and approaches.

Robert: "You know, it's not a good idea for a woman to be on the waterfront at night alone."

Anna: "I'm trained in self-defense Robert." (She turns to him) "One thing I don't have any defense against is that look on your face."

Robert: "You seem to be doing quite well." (He turns to leave)

Anna: "Robert? This unholy alliance that the three of us have" (referring to her, Robert and Sean) "...it tends to make me forget that you're a police commissioner."

Robert: "Mm."

Anna: As police commissioner, do I have to ask your permission if I want to leave Port Charles?"

Robert: "Yes you do."

Anna: "Well, I can't stand this look in your eyes anymore and I want to leave."

Robert: "Not until we find that wretched treasure."

Robert: "Since you're involved with him, you're included in that."

Anna: "Well, I would trade that protection. "

Robert: "For what?"

Anna: "Just a little bit of kindness."

Robert: "Oh, if only I could manage it." (He goes to leave and turns) "Anna?"

Anna: "Yes."

Robert: "I don't like the idea of my leaving a woman down here alone."

Anna: "Oh please."

Robert: "Perhaps there's more to talk about. Would you like to have dinner with me?"  (You see what I mean people? He can't stay away from her!!!)

Robert: "I'll walk you back to the Port Charles hotel. You can get cleaned up and I'll meet you downstairs. I need a change of clothes myself."

Anna (smiles): "Me too. After all you've said, I can't see any reason why you would want to eat with me."

Robert: "Call it protective custody."
