Holly Leaves Robert (Air date: July 17, 1985)
Anna, forgetting about that her scar is off, accidently opens her door to find it's Holly, who freaks after seeing Anna's perfect face.  Anna tries to explain, but Holly takes off, sure that Robert is being unfaithful to her.   She refuses to believe Robert or Anna's claims that there is no affair, and lets Celia, Frisco, and Felicia know that Anna and Robert's relationship is the reason she's ditching her hubby.

The setting is Kelly's diner. Felicia's at the counter, as Frisco enters.

Frisco: "He's a good soldier. They took a couple of stitches in emergency and he's fine."

Felicia: "Good." (she looks off) "Oh, Robert Scorpio's coming." (They see Robert passing the diner's windows to enter)

Frisco: "Don't let it spoil your day."

Felicia: "I didn't say it would, Frisco."

Frisco: That's the way you sounded."

(Robert enters, looking distressed. He nods to Frisco and Felicia and goes to a table.)
Felicia (picking up a menu to take to him): "You know how I feel."

Frisco: "Guilty. And you're wrong to feel guilty."

Felicia: "I can't help it. I do." (she goes over to Robert's table. He's standing at his table fishing for change in his pocket)

Robert: "Thank you, Felicia. I'd like coffee, but before I order, I'd like to make a phone call home."

Felicia: "I'll get your coffee." (Robert goes to the telephone and dials) "I'm so uncomfortable with Robert now. I hate keeping things from him."

Frisco: "How can you trust him after what we saw and heard?"

Felicia: "I don't know. Someday we may need help. Whom do we turn to?"

Frisco: "We don't need anybody's help." (Felicia take the coffee over to Robert's table, then looks toward the rear phone. Robert's dialed and is waiting for someone to answer.)

Scene changes to the Scorpio living room where the phone is rining, but Holly is ignoring it as she crosses to open the front door.

Holly: "Celia!" (Celia barges past her, wearing paint-streaked clothes.)

Celia: "Holly, after what you told me on the phone, I had to come right over, I don't care if I'm a mess or not. You can't be leaving Robert! I refuse to believe it."

Holly: "It's true."

Celia: "I'm shattered by it." (she notices the phone ringing) "Look, I'll wait until you've answered your phone."

Holly: "I have the feeling it's Robert calling again. I'm not going to answer it."

Celia: "Oh, Holly!" (Holly looks toward the phone, still looking very hurt and angry.)

Scene returns to the Scorpio living room where the phone has started to ring again, and Holly's still refusing to answer it.

Celia: "I can't stand to let a phone ring, Holly."

Holly (putting shipping tags on a steamer trunk): "I'ts all right to answer it, but I'm not here."

Celia (relieved): "Thank you." (She picks up the phone) "Hello? What? Uh.... this isn't the lady of the house. No, I'm not interested, either." (She hangs up) "Magazine subscription." (she then sees what Holly's doing) "That trunk makes it seem so final."

Holly: "You could do me a great favor, Celia... in the connection with this trunk."

Celia: "Whatever it is, I'll do it."

Holly: "See that the trunk gets shipped and then stored in the basement of Nanny's flat in London. Everything's on the label."

Celia: "You're going back to London."

Holly: "I don't know yet. And there's this suitcase. If you could have that shipped to a locker in Grand Central Station in New York...?"

Celia: "I'll do it. Where are you going to stay in New York?"

Holly: "I don't know. I may not go to New York."

Celia: "You're making it all so mysterious, Holly."

Holly: "I'm not telling anyone where I'm going."

Celia: Not ever your closest friend? What if you need me?"

Holly: "I'll get in touch. You may be sure of that."

Celia: "You must tell someone."

Holly: "Robert can be a most persuasive man. If you knew where I was going, Robert could get it out of you in five minutes, at the outside."

Celia: "I don't want to lose my best friend."

Holly: "Oh, Celia...."

Celia: "You can't drop out of my life. I won't let you!"

Holly: "For awhile, I must."

Celia: "What will I do without you? I always listen to you even when you tell me things I don't like to hear."

Holly: "I'm awfully glad you said that."

Celia: "It's true."

Holly: "Good, because there is something I want to say to you which you may not like."

Celia: "Not today."

Holly: "It has to be today."

Celia (startled): "You mean.... you're leaving today?"

Holly: "Yes."

Celia: "I can't make myself believe that."

Holly: "Will you listen to me?"

Celia: "Yes... anything."

Holly: "You and Jimmy Lee are having some problems."  (I can't make out the next two lines, it's something like Holly asking Celia if she's very sure about herself and Jimmy Lee.)

Holly: "It's not too late to let Grant come back into your life."

Celia: "Here's no way for that. I will take your advice on Jimmy Lee, and be sure about the marriage."

Holly (smiles sweetly): "One of the very people I plan to see before I go is Grant. I'm going to tell him not to give up the fight for you."

Celia: "Holly, with all that's on your mind..."

Holly: "It's better I keep moving today until it's time to go. If I can, I want to see Bobbie and Ruby, too. They've been a big part of my life in Port Charles."

Celia (suspicious): "I don't like the way you're saying goodbye, it sounds so final."

Holly: "No, not really, I want to carry with me in my mind a few places, a few people. I'd like to leave thinking that you and Grant still have a chance."

Celia: "I wish I could promise you that."

Holly: "You can't promise anything like that. I don't expect you to. But I should remind you, there was a time when you and Grant were very happy."

Celia: "I keep learning that happiness is fragile."

Holly (deep in thought): "So is love."

Celia: "I thought the love you and Robert had for each other never could be destroyed."

Holly: "Anna Devane managed to do it."

The scene changes to Kelly's diner. Anna's peers in from the window, looks around, and spots Robert at a table. She seems hesistant about what to do next. The camera then pans to counter where Frisco's paying his bill.

Felicia (giving him change, but looking over at Robert): "And one makes five."

Frisco: "You gave me two."

Felica: "What? Oh. Sorry, I was looking at Robert. He looks so unhappy."

Frisco: "Maybe his conscience is giving him trouble. I'll see you later." (But as he turns to exit, Anna enters and she runs into Frisco and Felicia. Robert looks up when he hears her talking to the others.)

Anna: "Sorry."

Frisco: "No. I'm sorry."

Anna: "I wasn't looking."

Felicia: "How are you feeling, Anna?"

Anna: "Fully recovered, thank you, but I will always be grateful to you and Frisco for finding me, and taking me to the hospital."

Frisco (disconcerted by her warm words): "Well, anyone... would have done the same thing, you know."

(Scene cuts over to Ruby giving more coffee to a longshoreman who is looking at Anna.)
Man: "There's a beautiful woman."

Ruby: "Which one of us are you referring to?"

Man: "The one with the scar on her face. I wonder how she got it."

Ruby (somewhat huffily): "I don't know. I don't ask about things like that." (She goes back to the counter)

Anna (moving aside to let Frisco exit): "Thank you again, Frisco, Felicia..."

Frisco: "Sure. Okay." (He exits a little awkwardly)

Ruby: "Good Morning."

Anna: "Good morning, Ruby. Excuse me." (She goves over to Robert's table, he rises.)hollyrobanna.jpg (74997 bytes)

Robert: "Anna."

Anna: "May I join you?"

Robert: "Please do." (they sit and Ruby comes over to the table.)

Ruby: "Would you like to look at the menu?"

Anna: "Just coffee, please."

Ruby: "One coffee." (She pours the coffee into a cup, then looks questionly at Robert.)

Robert: "I'm fine, thanks." (Ruby leaves)

Anna: "I was hoping to find you here. I phoned your office and learned you were staying at a hotel. I felt odd about asking what hotel, so I didn't."

Robert: "Nothing makes a great deal of difference now."

Anna: "I was sick about it."

Robert: "My moving out?"

Anna: "Yes, I tried to reach you to tell you Holly found out about my scar. It was an accident, Robert."

Robert: "I know that."

Anna: "I don't know if warning you would have helped or not."

Robert: "It wouldn't have helped."

Anna: "It might have given you time..."

Robert: "To lie again? To say I didn't know it was a fake scar?" (He changes to a more gentle tone) "I know you're trying to help. But Holly's convinced we've been deceiving her... that we had an affair."

Anna: "Oh, Robert! I feel such guilt."

Robert: "That's wrong, Anna. You can't feel guilty because you exist. And that you once were part of my life."

Anna: "Would it helpf if I go to Holly...."

Robert: "She won't be home. She's leaving Port Charles, and getting a divorce."

Anna: "When is she leaving?"

Robert: "Sometime today. I've been trying to reach her on the telephone for one last talk. She isn't home. She probably has a great many things to do."

Anna: "Or she isn't answering her phone."

Robert (alert now): "Do you think so?"

Anna: "Yes."

Robert (rising): "Why didn't I figure that out?"

Anna: "Because you're not a woman. Go to her as fast as you can, Robert."
