from the Kimberly McCullough Friendship Association

Robin: "I’d like to ask Robbie a question."

Robert (leading her to the couch): "I don’t see anything wrong with that."

Robert: "What’s up?"

Robin: "Do you know that game that we played today? Could it ever become real?"

Robert: "How do you mean?"

Robin: "Could I ever be taken away from you, luv or Grandma?"

Robert and Anna: "No..Never." (Robert has pulled Robin into his arms.)

Robin: "Why am I getting all these hugs and kisses?"

Anna: "You’re huggable."

Robert:  Well you see, there are just some children in this world that get lost of hugs and kisses, and you’re one of them."

Robin: "Like in stories?"

Robert: "Yep."

Robin: "Could you tell me one?"

Robert: "Okay, hang on, one’s coming. Alright, it goes something like this. Once upon a time there was a little girl just about your age, and this little girl was loved by everyone who met her."

Robin: "What’s her name?"

Robert (Stuttering): "Her name...her name...well..."

Anna: "Betina."

Robert: "Betin...Rob...Betina...right Betina. How could I forget a name like Betina?"

Robin: "Did she have a mother and father?"

Robert (stuttering): "Oh, yes."

Anna: "But she was loved by a great many other people too."

Robert: "She had lots of god-mothers and god-fathers, if memory serves me correctly."

Robin (putting her head on Robert’s shoulder and looking up at him): "It’s nice she had a mother and a father."

Robert and Anna look at each other and sigh. Anna: "I think..."

Robert (stroking Robin’s hair): "The sleep of the innocent."

Anna: "Yes, I think she’s sleeping."

Robert: "My God, when’s this horror going to be over?"
