Sean and Cesar Argue
Jumpy that Cesar's presence will be discovered, Sean freaks after finding a copy of P. K. Sinclair's latest book, The Crystalline Conspiracy, which features a drawing of Davnee (aka Anna) on its jacket cover.  Furious, Sean storms over to Spoon Island to hash it out with Cesar.  Arriving, Sean argues with Jacques in the foyer, and Cesar overhears them as he's sitting in the study.

Jacques: "You can't go in there!"

Sean: "Don't try to sop me.  Stay away from me, Jacques, I don't want to have to hurt you."  (He pushes past Jacques and enters the study where Cesar's waiting for him)

Jacques: "You don't.... You're not suppose to come in here!"  (They both enter the study.  Sean's holding the book with Jacques standing behind him flustered.)  (to Cesar)  "I tried to stop him."

Sean (to Cesar while motioning at Jacques): "Get rid of him.  We need to talk."

Cesar (nods and motions Jacques to leave): "I hope this means your here to keep your part of the bargain."

Sean (angrily walks towards him): "Why should I when P. K. Sinclair hasn't kept his?"  (He tosses the book down onto Cesar's desk.)

Cesar: "And did you like it?"

Sean: "No.  What are you trying to do, get us both killed?"  (Cesar looks surprised at this.)

Fade to Commercial..... then back.

Cesar (getting up): "Really, Sean, get us killed?  And my critics accuse me of being melodramatic."

Cesar: "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Sean: "I said come off of it.  All I had to do was page through that book to find out Anna was your heroine."

Cesar (clearly pleased): "Is she?"

Sean: "Davnee.  Devane.  C'mon, I know an anagram when I see one."

Cesar: "How clever."

Sean: "No, no, how clever of you.  What is it, uh, Davnee stealing microfilm in Istanbul, cracking safes, charming sheiks out of their secrets."

Cesar (walking away): "Something about Davnee inspires my already fertile imagination."

Sean: "You didn't imagine a damn thing.  Names may have changed but you and I know all those things happened."

Cesar (pouring some liquor into glasses): "Yeah, you always did have a good memory, Sean."  (He nods to himself.)

Sean (going for Cesar's achilles heel): "So does Anna."

Cesar (stops, then tries to justify himself): "Come, come, what's the harm in writing about exciting events that happened years ago?"

Sean: "You know exactly what the harm is, because if she ever reads this....."

Cesar (interrupting): "Well, has she?"

Sean: "No, not so far."

Cesar: "And she won't."

Sean: "What makes you so sure?"

Cesar: "Why should she read about adventures, dangers when she has already lived them?"

Sean (smugly):  "So you admit you've been writing about Anna."

Cesar (shaking his head): "I'm a writer Sean, I pick up bits and bits from everyone I meet."

Sean: "That's funny, I always thought of you a vulture, preying on everyone."

Cesar (clearly insulted): "Vultures don't usually share what they eat."   (He hands Sean a glass of liquor.)

Sean: "You took an unnecessary risk."  (Both take sips from their glasses.)

Cesar: "None of my readers actually believe a woman of such charm, courage, cleverness actually exists.  That's why they are so fascinated by her."

Sean (turns to face him): "And you're the most fascinated of all, aren't you?"

Cesar: "Am I?"

Sean: "Yes, fascinated with a woman you can never have."

Cesar: "I could have.  I chose the more lucrative alternative, one suggested by you Sean."

Sean: "Yeah, we made a deal, but after paging through that book, obviously you renegged on it."

Cesar: "Well, I'm happy you find my writing so compelling and so believable.   After all, it's only the fantasy of a dead man."  (He raises his glass towards Sean and takes a sip.)

Sean: "If that's true, then I suggest you go back into the grave because if Anna and Robert ever find out what's really going on and you're still alive, they'll kill you."  (He then raises his glass towards Cesar and takes a sip.)

Fade to Commercial..... then back to the scene.  Both are now seated.

Cesar: "If it was the good ole days in Paris, you would have never lost your famous cool."

Sean: "Well, maybe by getting out of the WSB I became a little more human."

Cesar: "Oh?  With all it's frailties?  I hope one of them isn't foolhardiness."

Sean (tired of their little game): "Will you just get to the point?"

Cesar: "So quickly?  You used to enjoy the game more."

Sean: "I'm getting very tired of playing your little game."  (He gets up, agitated.)

Cesar: "And I'm getting very tired of you too.  Surely you're not foolish enough to think of undermining my purchase of the Wellington Collection...."

Sean (interrupting): "I never said that."

Cesar: "...by sending a foolish spy like Robert Scorpio?"

Sean (surprised): "What?!"

Cesar: "Oh yes, he was here yesterday."

Sean: "I certainly didn't send him.  I'll tell you something, if Robert gets the scent...."

Cesar: "He said he was here to investigate, now listen hard..." (He leans forward, staring hard at Sean.)  "...a fisherman's complaint about my dogs."

Sean (flabbergasted): "You really believe that the police commissioner of Port Charles would come all the way out here to investigate some minor complaint?"

Cesar: "Um, what do you take me for?  Of course I didn't believe him."

Sean: "Don't you realize that once Robert starts digging he isn't gonna give up?"

Cesar: "That's right.  So we beat him at his own game."

Sean: "Meaning what?"

Cesar: "We finalize our arrangement and I was never here."

Sean: "Fine.  I'll gladly sell you the Wellington Collection."

Cesar: "Good."

Sean: "Just as soon as you let me in on your latest plot."

Cesar (gets up): "Well, considering the little crystal necklace you gave Desiree the other night, you already have a good clue."

Sean: "I need more than that."

Cesar (going after Sean's achilles heel): "Well, fine.  It's only a matter of time before Anna and Robert put the pieces together."

Sean: "Forget this.  Why did you even come to Port Charles in the first place?"

Cesar: "I wanted the collection."

Sean: "Really?  You knew Anna and Robert were here.  You also knew what would happen if they saw you.  It doesn't seem to bother you at all."

Cesar: "Not personally.  Not obviously as much as it bothers you, but then I'm not Robert's long, live friend.  Well, unlike you, I would gladly eliminate him if he got in my way."

Sean (smiles a little): "But you'd never eliminate Anna."

Cesar (trying to put a poker face on): "Try me, Sean.  Try me."

Sean (clearly not buying Cesar's lie): "You're still in love with her."
