Anna now works for Sean. Robert keeps track of her by planting a homing device on her which will trace her whereabouts. Sean begins transferring the treasure off the train and onto it's next destination. Jimmy Lee and Celia are now married and the wedding party is starting to break up. In the meantime, Robert is setting Sean up to think that the wealthy collector Mr. Wu wants the treasure. He also finds out that Sean has had Holly as a kidnap victim all this time. This scene takes place at a hotel somewhere near Canada.
Sean: "Satisfied with the accomodations?"
Anna: "Yes. Very nice. And the service is excellent."
Sean: "Ah, it comes with the suite. I think we should be comfortable here. Oh by the way, we'll have to pick you up
some new clothes."
Anna (still in her wedding garbs): "Are we staying long?"
Sean: "As long as it takes."
Anna: "Oh." (looks out the window) "Trees. Woods. As far as the eye can see."
Sean: "Restful isn't it?
Anna: "Yeah. We must be in the middle of nowhere."
Sean: "What better place to hide a fortune." (He
goes over to the bar) "Care for a drink?"
Anna: "Yes, if you're having one."
Sean (pours it): "Here you go."
Anna (takes the glass): "Thank you."
Sean: "To the successful completion of our mission.
Anna: "Cheers." (She lifts her glass)
Sean: "Cheers." (He taps her glass with his and they drink)
Anna: "So where exactly is the treasure hidden Sean?"
Sean (faces window): "Out there."
Anna: "In the trees?"
Sean (laughs): "No just a bit farther."
Anna: "Is it within walking distance?"
Sean: "Not quite. The treasure is in Canada, Anna..."
Anna: "Where in Canada?"
Sean: "You'll find out soon enough."
Anna: "Still don't trust me, do you?"
Sean: "No. Not completely."
Anna: "I thought we had an understanding."
Sean: "We do. We trust each other for as long as we have to."
Anna: "Splendid partnership."
Sean: "Trust is overrated anyway. If only at least a disappointment. I shouldn't have to tell you that, now should I?"
(They sit)
Anna: "Sean, just because you've been burned a few times doesn't mean you have to give up on trust completely.
Sean: "Can you think of a better reason? You certainly don't trust Robert Scorpio anymore, do you?
Anna (her expression changes into hurt, she tries to mask it.):
"Well that's different."
Sean: "Well at least we agree on one thing. Neither of us needs Robert Scorpio anymore, now do we?"
Anna: "Well you once loved him as a brother."
Sean: "I still love him. Or at least loved what he used to be. What he's become is another story."
Anna: "What's that?"
Sean: "He's boring."
Anna: "Yeah, well people change."
Sean: "Not you Anna. Never you. Although there was some doubt in my mind for a while. You seemed as if you were
going over to the side of the angel."
Anna: "What do you think now?"
Sean (smiles): "Seems like old times."
The scene fades out... then back later. Sean is on the phone. Anna tries to eavesdrop but Sean is too discreet. He hangs up.
Anna: "Everything going according to plan?
Sean: "Like clockwork."
Anna: "Isn't it about time I had an update? I mean, what else have I got to do to prove myself to you?"
Sean: "I'm sure I'll think of something, Anna."
Anna: "You're a very difficult man to please, Sean."
Sean: "No, just a cautious one. Like Robert. You loved him once. What changed your mind?"
Anna: "Various things."
Sean: "One being the incident at the picnic ground?"
Anna: "Yes. Even if he hadn't pulled that stunt when he ripped my scar off in public, something else would have
happened. He and I were headed for a confrontation."
Sean: "Well, it certainly didn't look like that from all appearances. You two looked inseparable."
Anna: "That's because he wouldn't let me out of his sight."
Sean: "Ah yes. Whatever happened to the old Robert Scorpio?"
Anna: "Well you said it. He changed. I never thought I'd see the day when Robert Scorpio became a bore."
Sean: "Police work can do that to you."
Anna: "Yes, police work and his wife Holly. She tamed him. He's no fun anymore. Not as exciting as he was."
Sean: "Such a waste."
Anna: "The fact that he became a police commissioner should tell you exactly where he's going. Holly's welcome to
him. That is, if she wants him anymore."
Sean: "You mean that?"
Anna: "I'm here, aren't I?"
Sean (studies Anna's face): "You're a very attractive woman, Anna."
Anna: "Thank you. You're an attractive man, Sean."
Sean: "Thank you. I really do want to trust you. You have no idea just how much."
Anna: "Then why don't you?"
Sean: "Is that an invitation?"
Anna: "You take it anyway you wish."
Sean: "Don't play games with me."
Anna: "Oh no, I wouldn't play games with you, Sean."
Sean: "Oh yes you would if you're still playing at being a double agent."
Anna (tries to mask the hurt by his comment): "Well let's just leave it at that then. You don't quite trust me."
Sean: "You amuse me."
Anna: "Well you always used to say that. If you can trust an agent, he can't be very good, or words to that effect."
Sean: "Yes that does sound like something I would say."
Anna: "Over and over you said it. Do you still believe it?"
Sean: "Absolutely."
Anna: "Oh. Then I should be flattered that you don't trust me. It means you appreciate my ability."
Sean: "No. I never doubted your abilities for a moment. As a matter of fact, both you and Scorpio amaze me. For
example, how did he ever get a hold of Prescott's phone number?"
Anna: "I don't know, but I can make a couple of guesses."
Sean: "Please do."
Anna: "He may have had a scanner in his backgammon game so he could monitor all your calls." (NOTE: Robert and
Grant played backgammon frequently on the wedding train)
Sean: "It's a distinct possibility." (He approaches her and takes her in his arms)
"Scorpio's a fool." (He kisses her and then his stance changes and he pushes her away and just stares at her)
Anna: "What is it?
Sean (staring at her blouse): "Is that some kind of homing device or what?"
Anna (nervous): "What?"
Sean: "In your bra."
Anna: "I don't know whether to be flattered or outraged."
Sean: "Take it out. Or would you prefer I do it for you?"
Anna (hesitates and then gives in): "Allow me." (She takes it out. Sean tries to take it from her but she blocks him and
throws it out the window.)
Sean (both of them are ready for a fight): "I'm not going to get upset about this. Because there's no way that Robert's
gonna pick up on that signal." (He grabs her)
Anna (smug): "How can you be so sure?"
Sean: "I'm sure. His best homing device only has a range up to 300 miles."
Anna: "How long do you think that'll last?"
Sean: "Long enough. Now shall we pick up where we left off?"
Anna: "You try and you're dead."
Sean: "You don't carry a weapon, Anna."
Anna (shrugs him off): "I don't need a weapon, Sean."
Sean: "Ah yes, I did teach you many ways to handle these situations unarmed, didn't I?"
Anna: "Yeah. Do you want to see how well I learned my lesson?"
Sean: "No. Not this time. This round is yours. For whatever that's worth. But I intend to win, Anna. I have this fight
well in hand. Scorpio or no Scorpio."
