Anna Questions Kevin and Patrick

This is taken from a script, so the actual aired scene maybe a little different, depending on how much the scene was ad-libbed.

This scene takes place in the police headquarters, in Anna's office.  She's on the phone two-way with Sean.

Anna: "Thanks, Sean. I didn't realize I left those things behind. I could drop by the penthouse after work."

Donely: "Let me bring the stuff to your place. That way I'll get to see Robin."

Anna: "How about lunchtime? I'm going home to have a bite with Robin anyway. You could join us. Buzz Stryker will be there, too. He's picked up some wallpaper for me."

Donely: "Sounds good."

Anna: "All we need is Frisco to join us, and it would be a Godfather reunion for Robin."

Donely: "Not a bad idea. I wonder if Frisco gets a lunch hour today." (To Felicia, who's with him) "Any chance Frisco can make it for lunch at Anna's?"

Felicia: "They always break for lunch at the Academy. I'll be glad to pick him up and bring him over."

Donely (back on the phone to Anna): "Looks like Frisco will be there."

Anna: "That's wonderful! Robin will be in seventh heaven." (She hangs up, and her intercom buzzes.) "Yes?"

Clerk's voice: "Patrick and Kevin O'Conner are here."

Anna: "Show them in. By the way... any word from the manufacturing company on that glass eye?"

Clerk's voice: "Nothing as yet." (Anna clicks off as Patrick and Kevin enter.)

Anna: "Thanks for coming down on such short notice. I know you're both busy, Doctors, so I'll get right to the matter at hand. What do either of you know about Earl Moody?"

Patrick: "If the subject is Earl Moody, this'll be a very short meeting. I've already told you everything I know about him, which isn't much."

Kevin: "I have nothing to add, either."

Anna: "Take a minute. Think it over. You might remember something."

Patrick: "As we said, Earl Moody is someone we haven't seen for almost three years."

Kevin: "There's nothing more to remember."

Anna: "All right. Let's move on. Do either of you have any idea what's behind Terry's nightmares?" (Kevin and Patrick look at each other, but say nothing.) "I find it quite unbelieveable, Kevin, that you should be so ignorant about your girlfriend! Especially when you intend to get married someday."

Kevin: "I love Terry. It doesn't mean I dwell on her problems. And I'm certainly not going to analyze her bad dream."

Anna: "Have I touched a sore spot?"

Kevin: "I just don't believe in treating someone I love as if she's a mental patient. I'm not a psychiatrist."

Anna: "Do you think Terry should be a mental patient?"

Kevin: "No! I don't."

Anna (to Patrick): "Do you?"

Patrick: "I think Terry needs help... not that getting married is the answer."

Anna: "Does Terry's state of mind have anything to do with the murder?" (The brothers don't answer.) "Could Terry... in either of your opinions... commit murder? Is she capable of it?"

Kevin: "No way! Why are you trying to crucify her?"

Anna: "Crucify her? I'm trying to solve a murder and getting damn little cooperation!" (She picks up Terry's hymnal from her desk.) "Now listen to me. Earl Moody disappeared on the same day as the Valentine's Dance in Laurelton. Does that mean anything to either of you?" (Patrick and Kevin don't respond.) "Kevin, you said you weren't at the dance that night. Where were you?"

Kevin: "I don't remember. But I definately wasn't at the dance." (Anna catches something in Patrick's eye.)

Anna: "Does your memory coincide with your brother's? Do you recall Kevin at the dance?"

Patrick: "How could I?

Anna: "So he did." (There is a long silence as the three look at each other. They're interrupted by a knock on the door and a clerk enters.)

Clerk: "That report just came in. I thought you'd want to know it right away."

Anna: "You thought right. What's the word?" (The clerk hesitates.) "Go ahead. The glass eye is no secret to the O'Conner brothers."

Clerk: "The manufacturer said the glass eye was made for an Earl Moody. The description fits perfectly."

Anna: "Thanks." (The clerk leaves. Anna turns to Patrick and Kevin, fixing on them intently.) "I'm sure you know you're involved in something very serious. So serious, that it could ruin your careers if you don't cooperate with this office. I intend to break through this stone wall you've thrown up, and when I do, you better pray I don't find that you've been withholding vital information. Is that clear?" (They stare impassively at her.) "Do either of you have anything to say?" (They remain silent.) "Okay. Tell Jennifer and Mr. Holmes what I've said to you." You can go now." (They leave and Anna gets on the intercom.)

Clerk: "Yes, Chief?"

Anna: "Please call the airport and get me a mid-afternoon flight to Laurelton."
