Escapades: 
The Secret Marriage  In 1976-77, spies Robert and Anna privately marry in Italy.  A short time later, Anna is disfigured in an accidental explosion caused by the gunfire of her husband, Robert.  Learning his bride is a double agent, Robert divorces her, but Anna later secretly gives birth to their child.  In order to protect her daughter, Anna gave Robin to friend Filomenia to raise, and told Robin she was a family friend.  Until she was six, Robin thought she was an orphan.

Back in the Game Again  In 1985, Anna and Robert call a truce and pretending to hate one another in order to trap Sean.  During the train trip, Robert ripped off her fake scar in front of everyone to convince everyone of their charade.  Unfortunately, he did so without forewarning Anna, devastating her. Though he felt guilty about it, at the same time, Robert's removal of Anna's scar also released her from having to wear the scar, which she forced herself to wear as penance for being a couble agent.

When Robin was kidnapped by Mr. Wu and his thugs, Anna sought help from Robert, Robin's father, and a tight band of friends- Sean, Frisco, Felicia, and Buzz Stryker.

Lady Boss  1986, in her first year as co-police chief, Anna had to deal with the wrath of countless friends and enemies during the Laurelton Murder Mystery.  Her instincts that the killer was Patrick O'Connor ended up being right on the money.  Her involvement with mobster Duke Lavery came with a cost- her home was bombed, her life and Robin's was threatened, and friends, such as Frisco and Sean, came to distrust her.  Anna was in fact one of the last to know about Duke's involvement with the mob- Robert, Sean, Frisco, and Felicia had already put the pieces together and realized Duke laundered money for the mob.

The Price of Love  In 1987, Anna's refusal to listen to her instincts cost her big when the Secret of L'Orleans finally came to light.  At her wedding to Duke at Duke's Club, reporters came crashing through and humiliated her with the news that her groom had help Camellia McKay cover up a murder.  Anna called off the engagement and ended up resigning from her position as co-police chief.  She eventually did take the persistant Duke back, though by that time Robert had started showing interest in her again.

Hostage!  In 1988, preventing Grant Putnam from kidnapping Robin, Anna instead became his victim and spent weeks being terrorized by the psycho and his snarling dog. 

Fatal Attraction  In 1988-89, mob princess, Olivia Jerome, became obsessed with Anna's life, wanting Anna's husband and a child with him.  She terrorized the Laverys, causing Anna to miscarry her baby.  After confronting Olivia, Anna was arrested for shooting her, though Olivia's shooter was later revealed to be Dino, her half-brother. Duke and Anna later tried to conceive another child. Both Duke and Olivia were eventually killed due to their mob ties.

The Past is Alive Again!  In 1990-91,  after learning her former partner, Cesar Faison, was alive, Anna had to agree to be engaged to him in order to prevent him from revealing her past as a double agent and to protect Robert, Robin, and Sean.

Falling in Love Again  In 1991, after a series of arguments with her ex, Anna gets even by seducing him and tie him up so she can tell him off.  What neither expected was that it would spark their old feelings for one another.  After exploring their feelings, they decided they were still in love with the other, and remarried in a lavish ceremony before all of Port Charles.  Their reunion was short lived however, as Anna was kidnapped near New Year's eve by Faison.

Lost at Sea  In 1992,  Anna and Robert are declared dead, having been blown up in an explosion trying to escape Faison. (However, since Faison's still alive, Anna and Robert could very well be alive also).

Meet My Twin  In 1999, Dr. Alexandra Devane turns up in Pine Valley, married to supposedly-dead Dimitri Marick.  He turns up very much alive and reunites with his wife, despite her and his half-brother Edmund's brief fling. Alex discovers she was stolen as a child from her biological parents and had a twin sister,

You Again?  In 2001,  Alex finds her twin sister, Anna, alive but suffering seizures and amnesia due to the explosion.  Anna briefly reunites with Robin and brother-in-law Mac but oddly insists on staying in Pine Valley rather than return to her home in Port Charles.  Bored, Anna jumps into the Proteus drug mystery and becomes romantically involved with shady doctor David Hayward, despite protests of brother-in-law Edmund.  In order to free Anna up for romantic entanglements, the AMC writers decided to reiterate that Robert's dead. Anna receives a letter Robert left for Robin which causes her to "remember" that Robert died in the boat explosion in early 1992. Course, this is the same boat explosion in which both Anna and Faison were suppose to die as well. 

Love on the Rocks  In 2002, Anna marries Hayward and later becomes pregnant. Unfortunately, most of the town is out to get the dastardly doc, and fed up with his lies, Anna divorces her hubby. Later, the duo reconcile and wait the birth of their baby daughter. However, baby Leora is born with a heart condition and dies during surgery for the placement of a pacemaker. Devastated, Anna comes to realize she no longer loves David, who has been no comfort to her during her time of need.  Anna leaves Pine Valley to join Robin in Paris.

Welcome Home  In 2006, a very pissed off Anna learns that her ex-hubby, Robert Scorpio, is indeed alive. Like her daughter, Anna doesn't care about Robert's reasons for pretending to be dead and literally kicks his butt when the duo run into each other in the Markaam Islands. For their daughter's sake, she and Robert call a truce. She's thrilled to learn of Robin's budding romance with fellow doctor, Patrick Drake, though she's a bit worried how much alike Patrick is to Robert. However, Anna encourages her daughter to follow her heart and be with Drake.

Once again back in the spy business, Anna returns to Port Charles to keep an eye on mobster Lorenzo Alcazar. Robert's protection of Alcazar's pregnant girlfriend, Skye, prevents Anna from getting close enough to Alcazar to get the information she needed, so Anna quietly leaves town for other missions.
