The
First Wedding of Frisco Jones and Felicia Cummings
June 20, 1986

Frisco and Felicia's
friends and co-workers pull together to give the couple their
wedding after Felicia had cancelled all the wedding arrangements due
to nerves. Bobbie and the Brownstone crew decorate and delegate. A
minister is virtually kidnapped off a tennis court to marry the
couple. But finally, the couple are able to exchange their vows....
Minister:
Dearly beloved, we are joined here, in the presence of God, to join
this man, and this woman in holy marriage. Andrew, do you
take Felicia Cummings to be your lawful, wedded wife? And do
you pledge your troth to her in all love and honor, in all faith and
tenderness, to live with her and cherish her according to the
ordinence of God in the holy bond of marriage?
Frisco: I will.
Minister: Felicia Cummings, do you take Andrew Jones to be
your lawful wedded husband? And will you pledge your duty and
service to him in all love and honor, in all faith and tenderness,
to live with him and cherish him according to the ordinence off God,
in the holy bod of marriage?
Felicia: I will.
Minister: Who gives this woman to be married to this man?
Sean: I do.
Minister: Repeat after me please. I Andrew take you
Felicia, to be my wedded wife.
Frisco: I Andrew take you Felicia, to be my wedded wife.
Minister: And I do promise, and covenant before God and these
witnesses.
Frisco: And I do promise, and covenant before God and these
witnesses,
Minister: To be your loving and faithful husband.
Frisco: To be your loving and faithful husband.
Minister: In plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, and in
sickness and in health,
Frisco: In plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, and in
sickness and in health,
Minister: As long as we both shall live.
Frisco: As long as we both shall live.
Minister: Please repeat after me. I Felicia, take you
Andrew, to be my wedded husband.
Felicia: I Felicia, take you Andrew, to be my wedded husband.
Minister: And I do promise, and covenant before God and these
witnesses,
Felicia: And I do promise, and covenant before God and these
witnesses,
Minister: To be your loving and faithful wife.
Felicia: To be your loving and faithful wife.
Minister: In plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, and in
sickness and in health.
Felicia: In plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow, and
sickness and in heath.
Minister: As long as we both shall live.
Felicia: As long as we both shall live.
Minister: The wedding band is a circle with no beginning and
no end. It is the symbol of the love between a husband and
wife that will last until the end of time. Within this circle
of love, Andrew and Felicia will be blessed with a new awareness of
each other as two people become one in the eyes of God and man.
They will cleave on to the other and put each other first in all
love and faithfulness, learning tht to love is to set each other
free to realize all your goals and dreams. Andrew, as you
place this ring upon Felicia's finger, repeat after me: With
this ring, I thee wed.
Frisco: WIth this ring, I thee wed.
Minister: Felicia, as put this ring upon Andrew's finger,
repeat after me: With this ring, I thee wed.
Felicia: With this ring I thee wed.
Minister: By the authority vested in me, I pronounce Andrew
Jones and Felicia Cummings husband and wife according to the
odinance of God and the laws of this state. Whom God hathh
joined together let no man put asunder. The Lord bless you and
keep you and make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto
you and five you peace both now and in the life everlasting.
Amen. you many kiss the bride.......Ladies and gentlemen, I
have the honor to present to you Mr. and Mrs. Jones!
Frisco's fellow
policemen make an arched walkway for the couple with their batons,
and after the couple reaches the end, Frisco exclaims: Well,
we did it! We're married!
Toasts are made to
the happy couple, including one by Tony. Later, after working the
receiving line, the happy newlyweds have their first dance as Frisco
serenades his wife with "Lady of My Heart."
Frisco:
Lady of my heart, tell me who you are, you've waited int he dark,
and I need you with me." Watching the couple dance, Sean and
Monica discuss his surprise for the newlyweds and make plans for a
rendezvous later. Neither know that Alan and his private eye are at
that very moment searching Sean's penthouse.
Anna and Duke,
meanwhile, are doing their best to annoy one another. He charms
Robin, much to Anna's chagrin, and Anna's attempts to get Duke to
discuss his possible mob connections fail repeated. Then, before
Frisco and Felicia sweep off to the honeymoon, they throw the garter
and bouquet. Felicia deliberate tosses the bouquet to Anna, who
blushes afterwards when Duke, who's standing behind her, catches the
garter.
